So I recently bought a Blu starter pack at a local gas station as my first ecig. I mostly enjoy it but find that it doesn't produce as much vapor as I like nor last as long as I'd like.

I did some research, found a good deal on a mvp v2 and here I am.

I bought the unit by itself so that I could choose the "best" tank. I'm considering the iclear 30s, protank 2/3/mini 2, viva nova, igo L and evod amongst others. The options and varying opinions/reviews are making it very difficult to decide. Vapor production and flavor are my priorities. Recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would get one top coil, and one bottom coil to start with so you can decide which ones you like. Get an iClear 16 and an Evod to start maybe. Smaller clearos then the Protank 2, 3 and iClear 30, so cheaper to start. If you like the 16, get the 30, if you like the Ecod, get the Protank. Save all three, because then you'll have a backup, and a backup for the back up.

Great purchase! I'm sure you'll like it.

Clearomizers are very popular- I happen to prefer carto/tanks but I'm probably in the minority. I don't think there is a best. I think a lot depends on your vaping style and whichever is easier for you to use.

Maybe read through the clearomizer sub-forum. See what people like/don't like about each.

On the MVP 2 the Protank 2 is great. Draws a little tight but you can fix (or not) that with drilling out the air holes. The PT Mini has a airy draw. Haven't tried the iClear 30 but have one on the way. Can't see it being much better than my Protanks. Also have a PT 3 coming too but haven't tried one. My MVP pretty much always has a Protank of some kind on it.

I just got the new iClear 30b today. It's great so far! It's a dual coil, so I get a ton of vapor. Also, the wicking seems a bit different then the Protank 3 dual coil heads. Seems there is more? But it tastes great, even on my little 650 mAh. The MVP is charging in another room right now. It had to charge my phone today, as I got stuck for an hour in a subway tunnel with only my phone to entertain me.

I started with a Kanger ProTank 2 and 2 Kanger T3s's. Then I tried an Aspire BDC and promptly ordered 3 more. Recently tossed my T3's in the trash my PT2 is packed away in my vape cabinet.

But don't take my word for it, watch this review.

You can pick one of those up for $10 and they are phenomenal at least compared to a Kanger tank. Can't speak for any of the other clearos.

My experience, not a 510 threaded aspire. They don't make good contact and flood alot on the mvp2. The aspire vivi nova Pyrex tank I have has to stay on my spinner . My smoktech aro Pyrex tanks work really well on the mvp2, though. They are ego threaded.

You can adjust the pin on an Aspire. Or is that not what you're referring to?

Wow I didn't expect a response so soon and I got 9! Awesome forum here obviously. Sounds like buying a few different styles might be the way to go. Can someone clarify for me a dripper versus say the protank 2 or iclear 30 which seem very popular? I've read several times that drippers have the best flavor?

@lgboogie19, Just looked again and you're right it does come with the iclear 30. Glad you pointed that out so I didn't buy a duplicate before trying it.

Thanks for all the quick and helpful responses.

if I pull the pin enough to make contact, it floods the battery pin well. The aspire bdc's are awesome, but seems that most 510 clearos have problems on the mvp2 from what I am finding.

Think I'm going to try a 510 to 510 adapter and see if that works. The spinner can't handle my vape skills with the bdc.

I think you're problem is the mvp 2 not the clearomizer. I had the same problems with the one I had. Try pulling the pin up in the mvp 2 instead of the pin in the clearomizer. It may not look like it's moving but trust me just get something down in there beside the pin in the mod and pry it up gently then screw your clearomizer on and see if it helps. Always worked for me. I think whatever is holding up the pin in the mvp 2 is too loose and when you screw something down too tight it pushes it down.
