Did I do good? =D

I of course didnt find this forum till after I bought and am now worried sick I bought some cheap crap ones rather than a brand favorite most use.

Can you guys please tell me if I got a decent e-cig and if I got ripped off?

So far it seems as if most everyone has a decent opinion of the DSE901(s) that I have read thus far...

They should arrive any day now and I am now hating each analog cig that I light up until they get here.. I am like a kid waiting for x-mas... LOL

I bought:

dse901kitb Glossy black DSE901 e-cig kit with 5 cartridges $49.99 2 $99.98
acccuadapter Car 12-24V adapter for USB charger $7.99 1 $7.99
dse901atb Glossy black atomizer for DSE901 mini e-cig $9.99 3 $29.97
rn4075ct50b - Regular High 50pc black cartridges for RN4075 mini e-cig Regular High $29.99 1 $29.99
Subtotal: $167.93
Shipping cost: $9.99

Total: $177.92

Did I miss anything?

What else will/do I need?

I also want to refill my cartridges with different flavors, like Vanilla, Cream etc...

Please advise, and hello everyone! :D

Hi Hawst and welcome to the Forum. :)

I'd say you did pretty good with your first order. A 901 is a good e-cig to start with...very easy to learn the ropes. I would suggest that you roam around the suppliers forum and find you someone (there are many good suppliers around) to order some e-juice from. You might also want to get you an extra battery and atomizer (or 2 or 3 LOL).

There is a lot of information here on the forum, but if you have any questions someone is always around and happy to help. Good luck and happy vaping!!

The 901 was my first ecig and was instrumental in getting me off of analogs for good. BUT, the batteries were notoriously finicky..............Sometime a battery would last 3 hours and other times less than an hour and then I had the problem of stick switches on occasion........4 batteries may be OK if you have the ability to recharge throughout the day. Make sure you like the 901 before buying more stuff. But, if you lose an atty or 2 get more ordered right away. Don't wait until you are down to your last 1 or 2. If you find you like the 901, I would get another 3-4 batts. Look for the manual sealed version of the 901 battery.

Elendil, you are a good man and thank you for taking the time to help me out.

Great info! Now more noob questions for you. I see I will need a car charger which I got one of those. Any other suggestions regarding the "charging all day" would be great.

Also, what other brands would you suggest for me as I smoke Marlboro Reds and the for mentioned "throat hit" is important to me to help me mentally get away from analogues..

Any others I should try that hit hard and give a good throat hit with plenty of vapor, good long lasting batteries? Any advise is much appreciated...

As a general rule the more an ecig looks like a real cigarette and the smaller it is the poorer the performance. This is not 100% true, but it is true more often than not. A lot of it depends on your usage habits with the ecig. Most folks find they use their ecig more than they smoked.

The single most important part to a successful vaping experience is the battery. The stronger and more long lasting the battery, the better performance you can expect, no matter the atty you are using. In a cig sized battery you can only get so much juice before needing to recharge. Battery is also the most important factor in getting a satisfying throat hit. It is every bit as important as juice and atty.

As far as strength of juice, it is hard to say. You should get a small sample of various strengths and experiment to find what works for you. You are probably best starting in the 12-18mg range and working up or down as needed from there.

I use 24mg juice. I was a 1.5 pack a day smoker of Pall mall Lights. There are heavier smokers here that use lower strength juice and lighter smoker that use higher. There is no 100% right answer until you get into it and see what works for you.

The 901 is a good vaping cig, the batteries are rather small so you would need to have plenty charged up to keep vaping all day. My wife uses the 901 as does my sister. I'm partial to the 801 that has a larger everything, the batteries seem to last longer between charges and the cartridge also seems to hold a little more juice. But the truth is that the 901 is a very popular e-cig for a reason, it's a good product that many will swear by

Hello and welcome to ECF:

Elendil mirrors my experience and advise with the 901, it was my first too! (Long since passed off to relatives to give them their first taste of vaping too.) I couldnt agree more with his statement for you to make sure you like it before obtaining more things for it. You have enough stuff purchased already to get a start and get a feel for it. Manual battery is the best advise.

I love my 901's! I get a throat hit with 11mg liquid..I don't want it though..wimp alert! The flavors are really good with the 901.
I agree you should get a sample set of liquids. There are a few threads about where to get them. Most people find that what they think they want isn't what they end up loving!
Batteries are what goes bad for me, atty's last forever! But I seem to be one of the few that is true for.
Good luck and Welcome to ECF!
