I'm new here so I thought I would just jump in and ask about my choice of first PV kits. I bought a eGo-C Twist VV w/Vivi Nova tank with the 1000Mah battery. I hope I made a good decision. I spent the past two days looking and researching and it was a bit overwhelming with all the different opinions and information on the net.

I quit smoking 2 years ago, but have never stopped wanting a cig. I was one of those that really enjoyed smoking, and lately I have been so close to falling off the wagon so to speak. I smoked Marlboro lights for 25 years and I am hoping to get the enjoyment of smoking back without all the negative aspects. I have been vaping with disposable e cigs for about a week and I am wondering how the eGo twist will compare.

Can anyone reccomend a good e-liquid to use with the vivi that would be close to a Marlboro light taste?

Thanks.

Short answer: No.

Longer answer: You really don't want to replicate the flavor of something burning, even if you could. Search out reviews of juices that replicate fruits or desserts you enjoy (also, a solid menthol even if you were never a menthol smoker) and then prepare to laugh at yourself for ever missing the taste of an analog. =D

Oh, and that IS a solid starter kit! But "always have a backup for your backup" is a rule for a reason.

Hi and welcome! You're off to a good start! The only thing I would definitely add would be a second battery - you vape one, while the other is charging. As far as how your Twist will compare to a disposable....well there was this thing called a telegraph and then this thing called the Internet...

It is still a learning curve though. I went from a standard eGo to a Twist and it took some time for me to figure out the benefits; I smoked so long that my sense of taste was trashed, so I couldn't really tell the difference for awhile. I can't help you with a tobacco flavor, I'm a minty/menthol person.

I'm glad you decided to go the e-cig route rather than getting back on the burning sticks. I can suggest the DeKang SEC (aka Kent) flavor available from ValueVapor.com and Chinese vendors. It's a pretty smooth, clean ciggy like flavor but, as MaritMonkey said, you won't find an e-liquid that tastes like burning plant matter...just can't be done. Try some SEC and get some sampler packs from some reputable juice vendors in some flavors that sound good to you (check the e-liquid reviews forum hear on ECF).

Please, please, please go for zero nicotine e-liquid. Your body has long since gotten over the addiction and there is no need to go back to it.

As for your choice of a 1000mAh eGo Twist and a ViVi Nova, good going!!! That Twist will do you proud and the Nova's a fine CE2 device. You will need to tip the PV fairly often to keep the top of the wicks wet but that's pretty easy. Thicker juices may be a bit much for a Nova but you can always gets some cartos and maybe a carto tank.

Best of luck, Diz

Thanks fore the help. I am glad that I made a pretty good first choice. I am sure there will be a bit of a learning curve as with most things, but it sounds like I will see a big improvement. I ordered a few different flavors to try and see what I am going to like, but I am open to suggestions.

I am thankful that I have options that will keep me from going back to analogs.

Welcome to ECF! There are many great e-juice vendors out there. I would definitely agree that would should have at least two batteries. Trust me, if you ever have a problem you will kick yourself for not having another. As was already mentioned as well, you will never find a flavor just like a cig, coming from a Turkish Royal smoker. I never was a person who liked sweet stuff, but am finding what really works for me is cheesecakes and taffy flavors from deejStuff eLiquid, The Apocalypse can wait... Also a nice vape I like is the 4 Star General and the RY3 from MFS when I am in a not so sweet mood.

The only drawback with Gourmet Liquid is that their prices are so high 40% off isn't that great. I'm on their mailing list and they had a 50% off coupon for the longest time, but I still couldn't justify breaking down and ordering something I hadn't tried before. A lot of vendors sell sample packs (Parkes Vaping has a 5 bottle one for $7.50) and ECBlend has a standing 20% coupon "10020"

Thanks for the suggestions. I am not much for sweets, but I do like coffee and cappuccino type flavors.

I'm also recently purchased my first system. The eGo c Twist. Same as you. In fact I'm still waiting for it to arrive in the mail. But instead of the Nova, I opted for the T3 clearomizer. It seems to be a highly recommended accessory for the twist. So if the Nova unit doesn't work out, or you just want to try something different, there it is. I am a current smoker, so I'm obviously going for liquids pumped full of nicotine, but since your body and brain is no longer addicted to nicotine, I would agree with what a previous poster said about going for zero nicotine liquids. I'm sure you remember how hard it was to beat the nicotine demon. I think it's an addiction that most of us wish we didn't have, even though vaping is "healthier".

Personally, if I do manage to kick the analog cigs completely, my plan is to gradually taper off on the nicotine until I'm down to zero. But thats all up in the air right now. All I know is that I'm already addicted to nicotine, so vaping seems like a no brainer to me. A way to get the nicotine I desire, without all the potential health problems. Good luck to you OP.

Thanks for the tip. I want to wish you the best of luck kicking the analogs. I wish I would have know about the e cigs when I quit as I think it would have been a much easier and more pleasant experience. I quit cold turkey after failing many times with the patches, gums, ect... I really miss smoking and I am hopeful that vaping will help me get over this feeling.
