I think it all depends.

For me personally, I never wanted to quit smoking, as I just loved to smoke. Now that love has transferred to vaping.

However, now that I have been hanging around awhile, the reduction of nic levels is doable. If I can bring myself down to a reasonable nic level (say, 8), that's the victory I am going for now.

Baby steps.

Does anyone plan to shop vaping?

Lately, I can't seem to do anything but SHOP for vaping. heheh

But as far as stopping - which I realize is the real question - my plan is to stop eventually. Probably. I guess. Ideally... Idunno, I have no plans to do that anytime soon, but I'm only a couple months in.

Lair, I am the same way...no panicing if I haven't had a vape for a while or if I leave them home! I do notice if I am around non smoking and non vaping friends..I have no urge to vape at all! But at home with a smoker, yeah, I vape.
I do have the urge to vape when I drive and when I am at the computer. It's more a hand to mouth thing..I vape and not snack!
My goal was to quit vaping at the 6 month mark..failed that! Here I sit at 16 months analog free, still vaping from 11mg to 0nic.
I do have hopes of stopping. But as Born said..baby steps!

Ideally, I'd love to be able to stop vaping at some point. But, since I've still been "falling off the wagon" when it comes to analogs, I think that day will be a long time coming. At least, as far as we know right now, vaping is a far healthier alternative, so I won't mind if it takes me a while.

I smoked for 29 years and tried to quit so many times I can't even count. I loved smoking, but I hated how it made me feel. I really love my nicotine, it helps me keep an even keel emotionally. The last time I TRIED to quit smoking (before vaping), I sank into a scary depression. Don't wanna EVER do that again. I haven't had a single cig in over a month now and I'm doing great! I'm vaping at 24-36 and I don't have any plans to lower that and I certainly have no plans to ever stop vaping.

Yes, I plan to quit vaping when I can comfortably handle 0 nic for a couple of months, but that's a long way off at this point. I started vaping a little over two weeks ago and have stepped down from 24 mg to 18/14mg and I'm happy with that right now. After smoking for 38 years I think it's going to take at least 12-18 months to get down to 0, if then! As said in other posts, baby steps.
