Well I'm pretty sure it's not a knock off, my friend sold it to me, bu I also don't see a name on it. Prior to this I had only had greensmoke. When she first gave me the kit it work great and I was amazed at how much vapor I was getting but now I am not getting any vapor I just taste it. When I plug the battery in though it stays red I am not sure what's wrong. Can anyone offer me insight?
Also if anyone could just offer a step by step (for dummies) guide to how to change and take of this please leave it.
And finally, in a lot of videos I see people using syringes... do I really need that?

Thank you for your time

"When she first gave it to me" - how long ago was this?

"I was amazed at how much vapor I was getting but now I am not getting any vapor I just taste it" - What is happening when you push the button. Does it stay lit, flash, no light? Do you hear anything? (Often you can hear the liquid being vaporized when you press the button.)

"When I plug the battery in though it stays read for like half a minutes then turns green" - Sounds like it is not charging. This could be a dead battery, or just a bad connection. Make sure there is no e-liquid on the battery and charger connections.

Do you have the 2nd battery? If so, are you getting the same results?

I have yet to use a syringe, but I am not filling up cartomizers that need them.

It sounds like your atomizer might be dead. When you go to charge your battery it quickly turns green because they battery is most likely fully charged. Do you have a spare atomizer for it?

There are cartomizers from Royal Smokers that have two tiny holes where the liquid needs to go into. (Cartomizer = cartridge and atomizer in one piece.) They come with a tip for a syringe to fill them. If you are using standard cartridges you probably wont need a syringe. I also have standard 510 cartomizers that do not require a syringe, because when you pop the soft tip out you can see the filler.

I hope that helps. Bummer that the thing has gone out on you already.

Nicotine withdrawls, I bet and having trouble with a new PV doesn't help I'm sure!

Maybe someone else might have better advice. I can tell you what mind does.

Battery not connected to anything - If I press and hold the button it says lit (blue)

Battery connected to charger - Charger will be green. I connect the battery. The light on the charger will go red and the light on the battery will flash a few times. Once it is done charging the charger will be lit green.

Battery connected to atomzizer - When I press it the light on the battery is blue and I can hear the atomzier vaporizing the liquid.

Did you clean the threads on your atomizer? Maybe it's not making a good connection with the battery?

the ego chargers can be a little finicky. assuming you have the charger plugged into your computer (as I normally do) you might find the following: you screw the battery into the charger, the light on the battery button will flash a few times....the indicator light on the charger should turn red...now here's the rub: the light on the batt will start flashing BEFORE you have screwed the batt fully onto the charger. With my charger, the minute the battery light starts to blink, STOP TWISTING. Give it a few seconds and the indicator light on the charger should go red. Many times, i have continued to twist the battery until at the end of the threads, but the light on the charger would stay green in those cases. Only when I backed off the batt did it finally turn red. This is just what worked for me on my EGO charger, no promises it will work for you but I hope it helps

Right, the atomzier has exposed threads that screw into the battery. I am not sure how you would stuff a paper towel in there, it's external. This is what a 510/eGo/Riva atomizer looks like:

okay i think this might have worked.. the ac adapter is red.. the usb adapter light is off though.. is that right?

Sounds about right...now just wait for the adapter light to turn green.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you don't want to over-tighten the battery onto the charger. I keep my charger plugged in 24/7, and I stop twisting the battery when the light flashes.

Well, my eGo will not charge using the usb port on the computer, but with using the same cord coming off the AC adapter it will charge like a charm.

That's odd. I have no problem charging from the front PC USB port or a USB hub (powered). Have you tried all USB ports on your PC?

I am sorry FantasyBeats, but I am out of ideas. If the battery is charged and the atomizer and battery are screwed together the atomizer should fire when you press the button on the battery. It's really that simple. If that is not happening then I fear your atomizer might not be functioning. Did you hear any kind of a pop the last time you took a drag and got vapor (before it stopped working)?
