I am fairly new to vaping and trying to figure out what hardware works for me. I got a Vivi Nova last week and loved it! In the same order I got a CE4 (Stardust) to try as I had several people tell me they are great. I gotta say, my experience is exactly the opposite of great. In fact, it's so bad I doubt I'll be buying any more of these cheaply made clearos.

I waited nearly a week before giving it a shot and finally decided to tonight with a new flavor I mixed up. First thing that happened was...well....it didn't work at all. I twisted it on my eGo battery, pushed the button and...nothing! Was a little ticked at myself for not trying it earlier as these are only warrantied for DOA within the first 24 hours....that won't happen again! I took it off and fooled with it. Noticed the stem inside wasn't really lined up straight so bent it a little and tried again. This time it fired up....good!

I shook it to get the wicks good and wet and juice went everywhere. What the Hell happened? I take another look inside the chamber and see that the rubber stopper that blocks juice from coming out is about 1/8" away from the screw in tip. I have no idea how to fix this and decided to just mark this up as one piece of hardware never to waste $5 on again.

What a POS!

EDIT:

BTW....it does have good vapor and good flavor...real good! But what good is that if the only time I can use it is when I sitting at home because I have to keep it upright in order that the juice doesn't run out?

I'd say that it was either damaged in handling or improperly made. The black tip should extend down in and just make moderate contact with the silicone cap. Check it out well (without juice); if that is not the case, contact the vendor as it is defective. I have used a number of CE4s and have never had this problem (unless I had pulled the tube off for rebuild and didn't get it back together properly).

That was another thing...I figured, OK I'll just rebuild it and fix the silicone seal....no luck! I can't get the thing apart. I tried to take the bottom ring off and if I pulled with any more pressure it would break the thing, it's now bent as a result.

Just completely dissatisfied. I won't bother buying any more unless I really see a great deal on them.

Before you give up all hope put a standard juice in it. Something with at least 30% VG!

I had a hell of a time with my T2 using 100% DeKang PG juice.

How well is that juice you just whipped up performing in the Nova?

Think you may have introduced two new variables into mix. When using something new you want to eliminate all unkowns from.the start.

I picked up a vision V1 a while back (the ones with the short wicks... same as CE2s?), and then picked up a couple of vision V2s (same as the CE4s). The V1 worked OK... had to get it horizontal for it to wick but overall worked OK... but one of the two V2s came in at around 5 ohms... so I told the vendor and he sent me a replacement.... I asked for another V1 because it worked better than the V2 that didn't have a resistance problem.... and when the second V1 came in... *IT* had a problem also coming in at around 5 ohms as well (the vendor, Rocky Mountain Vapor, had already sent me a couple of free heads with my previous orders so, IMO, was already ahead of the game and I didn't ask for another replacement).

A couple of points here:

1. You really gotta check the resistance of any atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers, etc, that you get in. If the resistance is too high... it won't work. If it too low... it could damage your batteries. They got a portable ohmmeter that I have seen on some sites for around $20, or you can get the didital multimeter from Walmart for $17.

2. With vision having come out with their V2s (the one's with the replacable heads... vision calls them V2s while all all the licensed vendors call them V3s... you can tell the official vision one's because they have the V on them), and all sorts of every Chinese Tom, Richard (?), and Harry, getting a license from vision (apparently) and producing these, and on top of this the clones (Cyrstal Vision, Thor, are just two of them that I have seen), I just wonder how much support the V1s and V2s (the one's without the replacable heads.. I believe the CE4s are a clone of the V2) are gonna get as time goes along. Bottom line, you just might try one of those out there with the replacable heads (I call them V2/V3s).

3. I have gotten around 10 vision V2/V3s.... and only had a problem with a couple of them. One came in with the resistance being kinda flakey while another came in with high resistance. In both cases, I took the units apart (comes apart in 4 pieces), but them back together again and, both of them have been working fine ever since. Another advantage of the V2/V3s.
