Couple of questions. I thought my 510 would have an instruction book, but it doesn't. There are only instructions for the PCC.

The two carts that came with the 510 are wet. Do I immediately wash, dry and the juice them? Or am I supposed to blow on them till they dry?

Do I ever drop juice directly on the atomizer filament or only use wet carts? Took a quick look around, but didn't see any direct answers. Thanks.

hi ebony. i'm new to this too. i just got my 510 kit on monday and mine didn't have instructions either. if the carts are wet i am assuming those are prefilled. more than likely with a tobacco flavored juice as that was what came with mine and my boyfriends kits. so you can put those into your atty and try it out. some people prefer to "drip" with thier 510, which means you could take the mouthpiece off and drip only 3 or 4 drops of liquid directly onto the bridge of the atomizer, then put the mouthpiece back on with no cart in it and use it that way. or you could use prefilled carts. it's really just a matter of personal preference.

Ah the wonders of the internet. They are labelled MLB HIG. I did a google search and it led me back here. Apparently it is a marlboro flavor. Glad I didn't do the instinctual thing and just wash it.

I am a little dissapointed that there is no manual. But I guess that is what the forums are for. I ordered the Johnson creek v2 juice pack, so I will see what it is like. I am going to order the basic e-cig introduction kit from them. I can see immediately, i will need tweezers, plus they offer some other basic tools.

Thanks for the quick reply.

if you guys check out some of the forums there is one search for "everything you wanted to know about the 510" it will give u all the info you need. a couple drops on the atty will get rid of the oily taste from shipping, but be careful not to flood it out or you'll get little vaor. the wet carts are filled already you can just add a few drops to them as you get less vapor orto change flavors. good luck the 510 is a good unit. again read the forums you can search and get an answer to any questions here.

Do not drip directly on the atomizer if you have automatic batteries! Manual batteries only

Glad you mentioned that because I totally forgot about automatic batteries lol.

And yep, that thread regarding "everything you needed to know about the 510" is great reading material. I read through that before mine came and it is a wealth of knowledge. :)

Yeah, I read the tutorial, so I knew to order a manual as opposed to an auto. Just tried it and I can tell it will take a little getting used to. I coughed when I inhaled, as I guess my body knows it foreign as opposed to smoke.

I am a light smoker so I guess I will have to wait until morning to see if I get the same buzz hit as an analog.

Assuming this works, I think I will order the bulk pack of atty and battery, but seeing as how the PCC works, I may not need more than the recommend two batts and atty, but the titan bulk pack is a little too good to resist for the price.

We'll see.

I am glad to see that responses here come quicker than on most other forums for other subjects.

When you inhale, are you sucking the vapor just into the throat or are you full on pulling it down into your lungs? I am fine when I just inhale it into the back of my throat but if I inhale too deeply into my lungs it makes me cough too.

I just got my PCC in today so I dunno yet how well it will work out just having the two batts. I got in the USB passthru today too and that is working great. I haven't had to use my other batts so they will be fully charged already if I need to go somewhere. I plan on getting some extra batts and attys soon too. Can't hurt to stock up when you can afford to rather than run the risk of them crapping out and have to live without vaping til you can get them shipped to you.

Yeah this forum is great. I seem to stay here alot these days killing my boredom lol.

This is my first post here. I just rec'd my Joye 510 this evening, from Freshsmoking. They have been great to answer my questions. The starter kit did come with instructions, but they were a bit confusing, and so I came here and found the thread "everything you need to know about the joye 510," which was very helpful! If I hadn't read it, I would have been very confused, as the instruction manual was not so helpful. One thing this helpful thread said, which I'd read nowhere else, was about the liquid "charger fluid" in the atomizer....stating to "blow it out" before inserting your cartidge...Otherwise, you get a harsh chemical taste. I did that. If you haven't read this thread here...go do it.
I've tried my 510, when the charge light turned green...couldn't wait till it had charged the recommended 4 hours. And it was great!

When you inhale, are you sucking the vapor just into the throat or are you full on pulling it down into your lungs? I am fine when I just inhale it into the back of my throat but if I inhale too deeply into my lungs it makes me cough too.

I call those "mouth hit" and "lung hit". I do either, but mostly mouth. Sometimes that lung hit pulling until that nic burn in the throat starts, then letting all air in, is a great way to get a good nic hit. Coughing could be too high in nic, or it could be a flavor that is irritating things. I cough more with PG, too, which is one reason I use VG-only juices in general.

Thanks for the advice Kurt. Not trying to hijack the thread lol, but yeah i think in my case it could be the flavoring because i've tried the lung hit with various nic levels, the lowest being an 11 mg. Otherwise no problems to report :)

no worries green! in general, if a flavor makes me cough consistently, I avoid it. I figure my lungs know what they do not like. I DIY my own juices, so I know more about what is in them. Don't buy flavored juices anymore. There is vast info here though about 1000s of flavored juices and people's experiences with them.

Vape on!
