Hi, I just received my new Dragon M401 from Truesmoker today, and I'm impatiently waiting for it to charge up. While this is going on, I thought that I'd make my first post, and thank all the users of this forum for all of their great information regarding experiences, models, and things to consider when buying. I started with the following:

Dragon M401 Starter Kit w/ an extra atomizer
2 10ML bottles of 18MG Truesmoker liquid (Lite Smoke, and Cappucino)

I'm really excited, and I can't wait to be vaping :)

One question I had was about the cartridges. A friend of mine, is refilling his using the bottles of liquid he bought, but the informational booklet that came with the dragon kit says not to do this. Should I just buy some blank cartridges for this instead?

Devzero, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but don't think you will be pleased with your dragon. I used mine for two days, and returned it, using the distributor's (money back guarantee)..

Their pre-filled carts were terrible tasting, battery life terrible, overall a bad experience.

I ordered a 510 kit, and haven't looked back.

I have the exact opposite experience. Nothing but good to say about it. I have a total of about 6 of them and a Phoenix. My batteries generally last 4-5 hours of heavy vaping. Way longer than a 510 battery. Have only lost one atomizer in 4 months. The taste exceeds the 510 because it doesn't burn so hot. JD has the best customer service.
DevZero, you absolutely can refill the cartridges that come with the Dragon. Just not the one with no inner cartridge in it. Only the one's that come out of the box.

I have both the phoenix and dragon. Love them both so much I got rid of my 510's.
My 401 batteries blow away the terrible 510 batt's, last me easily 5 x as long.

devZero, you can refill those carts after your done, just clean and wash them out then you can refill.

when DevZero said Dragon, I assumed he meant a pv similar to the "Red Dragon" which is 2 piece unit. If so, I stand by my statement, the pre-filled carts were terrible. I never would have gotten off the analogs using that PV.

I have no issues with the 510 diminishing flavor, and I run 30mg NIC. No comparison in the two models for me. And the 510 seems to be well reviewed by most everyone that has bought one. Not so for the "Red Dragon" PV.

The RD turned me off so bad, I probably wouldn't try any 2 piece PV, after my experience. Don't mean to step on anyone's toes, it's just my opinion.

devZero has this Dragon. Not the Red Dragon.

I indeed have the Dragon M401 from truesmoker that Houdini posted a picture of. So far, I'm not sure what to think. I like it, but there's some things that will require some getting used to. Such as the holes just above the atomizer making a slight sounds as I inhale, as well as the draw being different from analogs. Though, the liquids I purchased, and even the DK Tab cartridges that came with the kit are nice tasting, and I've enjoyed experimenting with them so far.

We have the M402 series as well and like them alot. they do take some getting used to though. The sound your hearing (a whistle I assume?) is from the cart sitting to far down in the mouthpiece. I got a tip from Joker that works pretty good - move the cart up to the rim of the mouth piece and let the atty push it downward - do this gently though.
after a bit, the filler and everything else got all into place and I get a good "real feeling" drag off of it.
It WILL take about a week or so before it starts to "break in" so be patient. you will have to fiddle with it as well to get the right feel for you.
I had the problem of not enough vapor with it, but we switched to a 80/20 of PG and pure VG and get a good cloud now.

We are both still suckin on normal ciggs from time to time but we have a "quit date" of Jan 15th (no reason for the date, just a date we picked) we both enjoy the flavors better then a normal one.

Lurking here for a while. Got an el-cheapo "world's cheapest electric cigarette" from China as my first, was good enough to convince me I wanted a better. Bought an Njoy Pro kit on my way back from Thanksgiving 600 mi.away, as the micro mini was driving me crazy with short battery life. Liked my Njoy for about 3 days (except the carts tasted like plastic poop), then the vapor started sucking, and a week or so later a battery cut on(and on and on) and now doesn't work. Hard to draw, pretty poor performance and down to one battery and the mico-mini for back-up. Bought me the Dragon, and an additional phoenix gift set for a friend...love my dragons. Don't care if they whistle. The prefilled carts were odd tasting, but better than what came with either of the others. I'm planning to get a blue dragon to switch off with my golds so I can keep track of which battery is charged when I stick them both in the case!
Anyone have an opinion on their coffee flavor juice at Truesmoker?
