and I must say I am surprised by how thin it is. They did send me 2 tho and I only paid for one. I had previously bought 2 wraps from electronicstix and they were at least 2 x thicker then the J wraps if not more. Also the black is a bit dull. Not a dark dark black. J wraps has great customer service but I am really disappointed with how thin the wrap is. Who here has one and how long has it lasted. I got nearly 1 1/2 years of abuse out of the one from electronicstix.

Mine are holding up fine. I had one get nicked a bit recently, but in it's defense, I did drop it five feet onto a concrete driveway and it rolled down. Didn't even bust all the way through, just got scuffed really.

ETA: oh, and the Provari is fine, too. :p

I've had the same clear wrap on my Provari (which I use daily) since February and it's still going strong. It was super thin. Much thinner than the R2D2 wrap I got from them to go on my Vamo. I was thinking about replacing it because it doesn't look quite new any more. That's not to say it looks bad- just not good.

In the world of vinyls, the higher the quality of vinyl, the thinner it is. Less expensive vinyl is called calendared and the highest quality is called cast. Basically, calendared is stretched to size in manufacturing and cast is formed from a liquid. The stretching can only go so far, and is more likely to shrink. The thinner clear wrap is a higher quality vinyl than the printed. It is supposed to look more like a clear coat paint. A very large percentage of this kind of vinyl is used on vehicles because of the higher durability and similar look to paint.

I got some of that Duct Tape sheet stuff from WalMart and it works pretty darn good on my little eGo battery. I put some kind of patterned vinyl from an auto supply place on my iTaste VV V3. That works even better. Tricky to cut to size, but with an xacto knife it can be done- even by someone with lousy close-up vision. Cheap, easy, and it looks pretty good. I'm happy :)
