Got it in the mail today , vaped on it and wow it hit like a freight train. First buzz i got from an ecig. I absolutely love it. Now the bitter.... Could not remove the cone from battery #2 tried everything i could think of next to a blowtorch. Scratched the cone up a bit( that can be replaced ) problem is i am out one battery because i cant get the cone off. Got this one from Liberty Flights in record time ( shipping wise ) , Left Liberty a voicemail , no response yet. They are most likely closed. I just hope that their customer service is as good as this forum raves it is. I was really disapointed and i do not in any way think it is their fault ( liberty Flights ) but i hate when i have to ship things back because there is something wrong. Anyone ever have anything similar happen to their Ego ?

Just checked my cone, it's all metal. Think I would try warming it a little with a candle, just the cone not the battery part. It might make it expand enough to get it off. If I really needed it off, I would remove the cart then drill a couple of holes that I could then fit a small shaft(small screwdriver) thru and then I could twist it off.

Wouldn't heating (therefore expanding the material) make it harder to get off? If anything he might want to stick in the freezer for a minute or two I would think... maybe I'm wrong. I barely passed chemestry 101. ;)

I think OldDragon got it right...heat to remove (the cone, that is). Like a jar of jelly from the fridge-run under hot water and it twists right off.
A hair dryer might work too.

I usually just hand the jar of jelly to my girlfriend, the dainty little flower she is... and buff. I tremble in fear when she's angry. ;)

OH GEEZ!!! I got MY eGo in the mail today also, but haven't used it yet. Have just charged up one of the batteries and took everything out of the box. Should I be worried, or is there something I can do to avoid this problem?

I wouldn't worry about it. This is the first I've ever seen of this problem, and I'm sure Abe will take care of my fellow Cheesehead. :)
