Just got my kit today!!!

Greetings, folks!!

Just bought my 510 kit today at a local tobacco shop and started vaping immediately. $50 for a standard kit (2 bats, 1 atomizer, 5 prefilled carts, usb and wall charger) I have to admit, it's almost like the first time I started smoking analogs 19 years ago. I also got an attachment so I can drip. I didn't get brave on the flavor, just a Camel-like juice.

Anyway, just wanted to stop in and say how much this site has helped. And, that any additional advice is welcome.

I love my 510's. Did you get manual batteries? The manuals are sealed on the end so they are much safer from being damaged by leaks from dripping and cartomizers. If not then consider a manual for a spare. Also be aware autos can sometimes turn on by accident from wind or vibration so if you are in a situation like that, you might want to take the atomizer or cartomizer off when you aren't vaping.

I love Boge cartomizers on 510. On a slim 510 you need the standard resistance ones (not the LR, 2.5, 2,0 ones). I alternate a couple of cartos and with thinner juices I can get more than 2 weeks use out of a Boge, one time a month.

If you don't have a PCC, look at the one at NoSmokeVA.com. It's for standard size 510 - super roomy - holds 2 batteries (one can be charging) and 6 other items.

If your juice is 100% PG it may be the Chinese Dekang Camel. FreedomSmokeUSA has a good selection of tobacco juices and most have selectable PG/VG (70pg/30vg is a popular ration or 80pg/20vg for more TH - the bit of VG smooths it a bit and adds more visible vapor). They have a Camtel and a Desert Ship. And to me their Switchblade (which is 50/50) seemed like a blend of Desert Ship ie. Turkish blend and something more peppery. Some of their juices are available as samples (50/50 and 24mg only)

That's nice you have a good shop near you. That's a fairly typical price for 510.

My first good pv was the 510. I moved away from it but only because I wanted bigger batteries. You do need to pick up some more attys and perhaps some cartos to experiment with.

Dormouse, it is called Desert Ship so it might be what your talking about.

Glitched, yeah it was cool. A lady a had a class with bought her first PV there. She's upgraded since but was very happy. The clerk in the store even spent about 10 minutes explaining some things about it. Told me to call if I had anymore questions.

congrats on the switch and having a reasonably priced local vendor with a good product. I will stress above comments again - get spare parts. I have had atties die after one day or last several months, but it is a roll of the dice and it would be bad to have to pick up a pack of analogs just because you didn't have a replacement part on hand.

So, no one going to mention to get spare parts?? Kidding, but that point can't be stressed enough, especially with a 3 piece unit. I would actually recommend immediately switching to Cartomizers (cart and atomizer in one). Glad you're enjoying your unit, now go order some cartos!
