Just wondering on the Phoenix rba and the DCT tank cartomizer why does it have a dry chemical taste to the inital fill and afterwards... cant seem to get rid of the taste... i would get a few good hits then i would get that dry chemical taste to it even though the wick and the cartomizer are wet??? Was i suppose to do something first to before i fill them???

Best thing to do with a tank is to make sure that the carto is full before you load it into the tank. If you are using the flanged cartos you will have to drip down the side, if you are using an unflanged you could use the condom fill method. Once it is full, you can put it in the tank and fill the tank, then you will be good to go. Are you getting the same taste with the RBA?

I have the unflanged one and i did prefill using the condom method but for some reason i would get i few good hits then that awful dry chemical taste afterwards.... i would sometimes prime puff and it would work for a time but also i notice that if i do it constantly it would leak.. and as for the Phoenix RBA i'm using the one that was preinstalled on it and i just put about 10 drops at first and right away i would get that dry chemical taste... so i let it soak for awhile but to no avail it gives me that dry chemical taste to it even though the wick is wet.

I can't help you with the RBA. I'm sure someone will be along that can advise. What type of wick came with it?

What kind of juice are you using? PG/VG ratio? Perhaps the juice is too thick?

What device are you using it on? And what resistance is the cartomizer? What voltage are you running at?

I've not had the problems you describe other than the occasional bad carto that just tastes like crap right out of the wrapper.

Are you using the same drip tip on both devices? What were you vaping before you got the tank and the RBA?

Sorry, lots of questions but there are a lot of variables lol.

Im using vapedudes buttery nipple at 50/50
using it on a twist and provari mini. 2.3 ohm. 4.0 to 4.4 volts.
different drip tips. was using a regular boge cartomizer.
