not a vet... I've only had my Provari for about 2 weeks.

tips:
don't drop it in water
play with the provaris voltage settings w/ different cartos/attys/juices. you'll find your perfect setting that way. (with a 3.1 ohm carto, I'm at 5.2V... that might help as a "base" for you to start at, maybe start with a lower voltage and work your way up)

this link could be of help: (thank you dalton)

blacklung's suggestion does make a good baseline. More than likely though, you will find your own mark. And, to complicate things just a bit, each juice may in fact have a different mark. Me for example, I like a little more heat, throat hit, and I want enough vapor to get lost in. My usual is a 2.5ohm atomizer at 5.7v.

I ONLY vape Kick Bass Vapor e-liquid. It is high quality, made to order, and the names are dead on to what the flavor is. I use a 60%VG mix. This is all subjective though. However just as an example of how juices will be better at different voltages...

Toll Bridge Cookie I usually vape at 5.7v. The heat makes it taste like a chocolate chip cookie that's fresh out of the oven. However, RY4 really shines at 5.4v. The Caramel and Vanilla and Tobacco flavors just come together at that voltage. Menthols or fruits however, I vape at about 4.3v. For the obvious reason that those tastes are better cool.

don't drop it in water that's a great tip :thumb: I read somewhere on the forum that somebody dropped his in a sink full of water while shaving and he let it dry out overnight then gave it a alcohol bath then let it dry another day and it worked fine. I wouldn't want to test it but I guess they're tougher then I think they are

LMAO on the vape radio show tonight Scubabatdan said he dropped his in a sink of water. He said he took the battery out and put it in a bowl of rice for a couple hours and it was good to go after that.

ive had mine for just over two months now;my Provari never leaves my sight. use the AW batteries that are suggested by ProVape. ive tried other 18650/18490 brands and they just dont stand up to the type of vape i like.. 3.9v has become a sweet spot. tried some Boge 306cartomizers at 2.9ohm theyre really nice at 5.3v. not a tank user so i cant recomend anything there

Have had mine for about a month, what a great piece of equipment; usually vape mine at around 6 to 7 watts when using an atty or carto; a CE2 type device at no more than 5 watts. Of course all depends on juice, taste buds, etc.

Sent an e-mail inquiry to Provape (not a complaint just an inquiry) and received three well thought out replies, counter-inquiries; the concern at Provapes impressed me.

Did buy the 2500mAh batteries and get around 12-14 hours of use (am a heavy vaper).

Like the led readout flexibility - REALLY like the constant voltage output under use until battery actually requires recharging.

So far, so good; will just have to see how the device holds up with long term use.

I love my ProVari and use it as my main daily vape. What to set it on though depends on the resistance of the cartomizers you're using, as well as the juice you're vaping. Some juices do well at higher temperatures. Some at lower. Some can bring faint flavours to the fore at higher temperatures so you can get a kind of different flavour out of certain juices depending on how hot or cool you make the vape.

It's all a matter of personal taste, so just play around, try things at different voltages (cartomizer resistance permitting) and have fun experimenting! :)

Any tips and tricks??? ...

I could have saved a bunch of money if I had just bought a Provari when it came out verses taking all the half steps buying other kits.

The Provari is very straight forward. My only tip is if I'm going to cycle thru the menu a lot, I like to unscrew my Carto/Atty slightly so that no power reaches it without drawing air thru the Carto/Atty.

That and using Nolox is good call.

Congrats. You now own the finest PV on the market! I use a Depth Charge Tank with a 2.0Ω Boge carto at 4.0volts. Leave the house in the morning and I'm good for the whole day! We've come a long way from the early days of vaping!
Thats what I hear from all the you tube buzz!!! I was using the trex ego type mods but with juice like bobas and gorilla juice by alien visions I wanted something to bring the flavor out and so far it's my second night and I can't be happier

Really 12-14? I'm getting like a day and 1/2 out of the 2500mAh set at around 5.2v with a 3ohm carto thats like 9ish watts and the light turned off ( I don't know if that helps or not seems like it would a little) I thought I vaped a lot seems like it never leaves my hand for very long

I was doing that too force of habit from my Reos vaping the top half of the charge 4.2 to 3.8 ish then I read somebodys post I don't remember who and it made a lot of sence he was saying that the battery is rated at 3.6v so if you charging at 3.8 you're missing a lot of battery time and I thought you know he rights it a regulated device so its not like the vapor going to drop at 3.7v like it would on the Reo so I've been letting it go until 3.4 when the light would flash if it was on. and thats almost 2 days

I would really like to make to move over to Provari but don't seem to have a local store. I am iffy on not being able to pick the brains of a salesperson.
don't worry! I promise you that you will not be disappointed! I like you was scared to pull the trigger on a mod that cost when all was said and done with all the bells and whistles $250!! All I can say is that this will probably be the last mod I will need... But I love vaping and it's sort of become my hobby... So who knows I'll probably buy whatever the next big thing is But I got lucky and found a great e cig shop in laguna beach as I live in costa Mesa ca I coudnt believe that I will no longer have to wait for anything in the mail anymore! No more chasing the mailman hahaha gotta love it! But anyway pull the trigger! You won't be disappointed
