Was lurking on this site for a while now and finally had a question arise that I felt would be best answered on here.
First off I'd like to introduce myself. Hi my name is Zach, I'm 19 and have been vaping for 2 years now. I used to smoke cigs at the ages of 16 and 17 and when I turned 18 I bought my first ecig. In the last 2 years I've really been able to find a set up I enjoy the most which is vv/vw mods with a tank system. Although I have tried mech mods and RDA's I just felt that it was too much for me to still enjoy vaping as a hobbie and a way off cigs. I understand all the things that go into building coils and how to make sure you're safe when using a mech mod, but I felt that it was just not for me. Right now I use an Innokin VTR and what ever tank I feel like using that particular day. Anyways, on to the question I have.
About a few months ago my friend was able to gold plate one of my drip tips for me in 24k gold as a birthday gift. Since then, he left that job and is now pursuing a different career so I can't ask him to gold plate something anymore.
What I am interested in doing is gold plating one of my tank systems. I went to a few stores that said they gold plated but when I got there they seem to have thought I was going to attempt to gold plate the tank system with the liquid and atomizer still in there... They told me they wouldn't do it as it would make the tank system a safety hazard to my health... Obviously I'm not going to be stupid enough to do what they thought I was going to do. I'd remove the liquid and the atomizer and clean the whole thing.
But i thought I'd ask this here. Is it possible to gold plate my tank system and still remain usable if I remove the atomizer and liquid. The tanks I want to gold plate are either going to be an Aerotank mega or an Aspire Nautilus.
Hopefully someone can answer this question for me. Just to inform everyone, I am not familiar with the gold plating process, so I wouldn't know if it would truly be toxic to me. Although I would assume its not considering my drip tip is gold plated and so far no health problems.
thanks for reading.
