it's all working so far... very hackish though lol.

the only problem now that i've gotten it working, is the case doesn't fit because of the switch.

I can't begin to tell you the problems I had getting this thing together.

I harvested the connector from an ego. cut off most of it and just used what was necessary.

The hardest part of it ws the solder I was using. it just did not want to cooperate at all lol. (mind you I haven't soldered in a few years)

took me way too long but it's working so far. just have to find a way to get the back of the case on... or a replacement part for it =/.

but this thing is not pretty at all lol.

Didn't have any

in an honestly, I used almost no solder.

Only place I did was on the atty connector.

The rest is separated with electrical tape atm

Heck, the atty connector is held into place by melted plastic ATM along with the button.

Heck I didn't even drill the holes, I used the soldering iron and made the hole lol

Doesn't matter about that....
You made it and it works and now you are infected by the Modding Bug. There is no cure; but the best therapy is making another mod and another mod and another mod. Enjoy your creation; best vaping on the planet is from one you make.

Yea, now that I through this thing together... I really need to go make a 5v mod... 3.7ish isn't enough for me... at all lol.

But that's something for another day. now that I've done this and see how simple a box mod is... I think I need something a little more extravagant...

to be honest this thing blew my mind at first I look at it and died a little before i started putting it together.

Now, all I need is about 4 extra hands and a trip to home depot and radio shack...

essential mod tools:
soldering iron
solder
flux
x-acto knife
small needlenose pliers
tweezers (for small parts)
wire strippers/cutters
5 minute epoxy (I use Devcon 5 minute epoxy, Link
strong epoxy (I use either DP110 or DP190, a little pricey, but great stuff) Link
Isopropyl alcohol (for cleaning items you plan to solder/epoxy to, and for removing flux)

Things that are not necessary, but make life easier:
dremel
dremel drill press stand
"helping hands" Link
heat shrink tubing

the 5 minute epoxy is great for tacking things in place, then go back with the stronger stuff to mount it permanently

Nice zadane, ya got yourself a new vapor tool. Happy vaping. Glad you got it together. Suggestion, get some solder on those joints. No matter how hard you squeezed the wires on the connectors your bound to get high resistance contact points that would degrade your vaping. Get some flux or use emery cloth, steel wool or even a nail file to rough up the contact points so you can solder easier. That is if you can't find flux.

Couple of things, already posted is yep, every joint needs to be soldered. Second thing is that in an e-cig, we're dealing with high amperage here, everything in the box needs to be rated for 3amps or better, that includes the wire used. I use only 20 gage or fatter, meaning lower number, stranded copper wire. The wire that comes in the battery boxes, from what I've seen so far, is 26 gage stranded aluminum, which is not intended to handle 3amps.
