In nicotine, that is!

Just received my latest Halo order in the mail... some 12mg Malibu and some 12mg Tiki juice. This will be the first time in a long time without anything stronger in the house, but after a few hours of the 12mg Tiki, I think I'm gonna survive it!

I'm giving myself a year to get down to 8mg (I'll probably never cut out the nic, I enjoy the attention and wakefulness benefits it gives me), but pushing the limits as much as I can.

This was instigated by me noticing some serious insomnia lately, I'm hoping that less nic helps that out.

Anyone else been dropping nic levels? Advice, anecdotes, and asinine comments are always welcome!

At seven months in I've been wondering about this. I've been vaping at 26 mg all along - and at this point my "wanna cigarette" cravings are really non-existent - but I think in my next order I'm going to start throwing in some 16 mg bottles to see how it goes. I don't feel like this is some kind of "must do" goal or anything. Then again, if you don't need the higher nic level any longer, why use it?

Good job, when you get down to 0mg are you going to continue vaping or give up altogether?

I don't know that I'll ever drop to 0mg or quit -- I am quite satisfied with the results of adding nicotine to my life, I suppose just like anyone with their morning cup of coffee. My goal is 6mg, then to just reduce consumption, i.e. not live with my pv in my hand lol.

I find the nicotine helps with wakefulness, attention span, and many other things. Without my nic I end up distracted and scattered altogether too much, and as I work in a very fast-paced multitasking environment, this gets disastrous. I truly don't see puffing on the PV being any worse than drinking coffee; sure, it's not as healthy as not having it, but if the benefits outweigh the risk, then I'll keep with it.

EDIT: And I was correct on the insomnia due to too much nic assumption; I slept better last night than I have in weeks.

That's really cool to hear! I have had insomnia too; on 18 mg. My goal is to quit eventually, hoping to wean down to 6 mg. then 0 then stop.

Yeah, the insomnia was my big motivator. I wasn't tired during the day as long as I kept the PV in my hand, but I could physically feel the toll on my body that three hours of sleep per night was taking. I'm at work (not necessarily working, mind you, but her anyway) close to 80 hours per week, and only catching three hours a night was killing me. I feel better today than I have in quite some time, and I truly feel that less nic let me sleep better.

I am toying with the idea of keeping an 18mg carto available for my morning breakfast vape, then knocking it down a notch, perhaps two, throughout the day -- we'll see what a week of 12mg only brings.
