Just ordered an eleaf istick. Well kind of. I actually ordered from TECC and they call it a Curve for some reason. Price before discounts was £39.99 (which is higher than most places) but you also get a BDC tank and USB lead (which some places don't include) and a free bottle of liquid so price seems reasonable.Plus I get an extra bottle of liquid because the value of the order (not including shipping) was over £30. All good so far. I had a discount code for 20% off (TECCNL20 if you want to use it) plus I had a store credit for £5 because I'd bought from them before.

So end result was I Istick + 1 tank + 2 x 10ml liquid + postage all for £28.98.

Seems pretty good value all things considered.

I was going to get one of these for the girlfriend but decided to wait for the V2, needs a couple of improvements and it will be a winner.
The same deal is available at Totally Wicked and they have the 4 colours. Oh and NVTW17 gets you 14% off.

Are TECC and Totally Wicked both offshoots of the same company? They sell the same stuff. Did TW start a new company when they realised older folk aren't too happy buying stuff called Totally Wicked?

yes, but some more to be said really....

Some of us have other issues with Joyetech/TW.... price mostly.

Totally Wicked are still happy to overcharge massively on certain 'lines' in their catalogue. The iStick price is fair, but then again eleaf are also in the mix as they are essentially a brand of Joyetech.

I suppose the most annoying behavior is *deliberately* selling devices (mods, atties) with some BS "name" on it. There have been some shocking ones over the years.
Totally Wicked know they do it, and have even taken to throwing their weight around when comments have been made on forums. They even tried to shut down UK Vapers at one point.

What can I say? It's desperately bad practice to sell a £39.99 mod for £79.99 with a silly name. They do because they can and because the first rule of business if to charge what the market can take, apparently. Personally, I don't subscribe to that theory. You only have to read the REAL reviews on E-Lites, Socialites, etc. to realise just how people react to discovering they have paid way more than necessary.

However, most of this is old news, and I shouldn't rant on.

Hadn't realised things were that bad with TW. But in their favour they did recently challenge incoming EU vaping laws. Admittedly they probably did it for their own business interests, but the rest of us will benefit from it too, assuming they're successful.

Yes, of course. We are all grateful for what they are trying to do.

It's all a bit ironic really. TW sell "proper" e-cigs (nobody can say they don't, can they?) and Big Tobacco are just sitting around with lots of (cig-a-like) products in the pipeline that they expect to meet the 2016 TPD criteria. If the e-cig as a product comes down to single-use cartomisers/clearomisers with liquid under 20mg, then TW are more or less finished.

The story doesn't quite end there though, as Joyetech are exactly the sort of company capable of copying any sort of technology, saving us all from the Tobacco companies if push comes to shove.

I hope they can put a dent in the EU TPD.
