After reading reviews here, I decided to order a couple of juices from pink spot. I went with the Black Mamba (on the rocks) and the Snowman Kiss. I like mint/menthol and wanted something fruity & menthol, so am hoping I will like the Black Mamba on the rocks.

I've been reading & watching videos about refilling the cartos. My ecigs are Cig2O and I've read a lot of folks have trouble with getting the tops off. Someone suggested a corkscrew and I have a few ideas (like a crochet needle) that might work.

What I am curious about is cleaning. I've read people have suggested boiling, but I guess I'm feeling a bit dumb because do you boil the whole carto, including the filler? Just pop it in boiling water?

I'll probably try the drip method for a while and will probably end up with a syringe at some point, that looks a lot easier IMO.

Excited to try out my new juices!

Hi brighid, I use a little vodka and a blunt syringe. If a shot of vodka is not an option I hear that vinegar or distilled water work. I try to use something that will clean the oxidation from the heating coils. With boiling I understand that the cartomizers need more than a day to dry, three maybe four days.

If you go with the boiling method you can submerge the whole cartomizer in water with no problems.

I've only tried boiling cartos but haven't had much luck. The draw and vapor production just isn't the same afterwards. They're cheap enough that it's easier to just toss them when they're done. I usually run 10-30ml (depends on the liquid) through one carto before it hits the garbage.

Edit: It's also a good idea to keep some attys on hand for testing liquids. That way you don't ruin a whole carto just to find out that you don't like a particular liquid.

i take a 30ml syringe and a small piece of tubing stick one end of the tubing to the carto the other to the syringe then i suck rubbing alcohol through the carto into the syringe and do that back and forth a few times then do the same with microwaved water then i blast the water out of it with the syringe until it seems dry enough then let it sit overnight

i also to get the filler drier before leaving over night, use the spin method (there is a youtube video )to really dry the filler then leave overnight

Not sure about the video but it may be the same trick I sometimes use... secure the cartos in the toe end of a clean cotton tube sock, mouth-end down, with a rubber band. Then just hold the sock by the open (top) end & spin it round & round for awhile. Good exercise, and it doesn't take too long to spin the water out of the cartos. I try to do several at a time like this. (I've also seen it suggested on here to put them in a sock like this & run them thru the dryer with a load of clothes; haven't tried that yet but heck, why not? Might work!)

As to the rubbing alcohol, I've done that but it might not be a good idea... PGA would be safer. Unfortunately in my cave that's liable to wind up as sippin' likker so I don't keep it around here, and just use the boiling water method. Distilled vinegar seems to work pretty well too, but it's hard to get all that taste out of the carto... maybe a second boil, with a dash of baking soda? I dunno.

Happy Vaping! :)

I use one of those hand held steam jet things. I hold the carto in a pair of tongs, blast the steam through it for 30 seconds or so, let them cool, blow them out, dry them in a low oven for about an hour. This method works really well, but I honestly don't clean cartos to often these days. Nothing beats a brand new carto on a fully charged battery.

Hello All, personally I won't try to reuse cartomisers due to them being semi disposable. Inside the CARTOMISER can burn even without you noticing and I suppose it makes the inhalation contaminated rather than a "clean" vape of ejuice. Also, they are quite cheap and its best to follow the manufacturers instructions ie throw them out after a day or so.
