hey guys i am new here

just ordered my new 100w box mod and i got some questions that need to be answered

thanks :)

1. whats the max i can vape my mini nautilus tank on my sigelei with a 1.6ohm coil without it getting burnt? i currently use it on my nemesis mod and i get roughly about 9 watts which isnt much

2. i read that with the 100w mod you cant vape 100 watts unless you have a .5 ohm coil? but if i set it at 100w then what am i actually getting?

3. does anyone know where i can get sony vtc 5 batteries right now in the uk ?

thanks

1. From what I hear, anything above 17-18 watts (on an rDNA) and you will get burnt hits.

2. Not sure on this as I am not familiar with the Sigelei 100w. The part about needing a 0.5 ohm coil to vape at 100 watts does not sound right.

3. Here in the US there are no Sony VTC5's available (except counterfeit). I think you will find it is the same for you.

I agree with Carpe Noche. Anything above 11W and you get gnarly burnt hits. Sometimes, even at 11W, taking a long drag will lead to a burnt hit.

Yes, you need a lower-ohm coil to receive the max wattage. Input the resistance in Steam-Engine (1.8 or 1.6 for the Nautilus coils) and then throw in the maximum wattage. You'll see that in order to attain that wattage, you'll need to be firing at ~14V. The max voltage of the Sigelei is 7V. The screen will show you "13V" but it can't actually fire that high. At a 1.8 ohm coil, the highest you can fire (with the 7V limit) is about 28W. But as I said above, 28W will DEFINITELY be a gross, burnt hit. With an RDA at .3 ohms, however, you can hit 100W and your voltage will be ~5.5V -- this is doable. The Sigelei 100W will somewhat "lie" to you and tell you you're firing higher than you are. The only sure way to know is to do the Steam-Engine calculations.

Sony VTC5 batteries don't exist, anywhere. If they do they're over a year old. Anything sold as a VTC5 is certainly a re-wrap of a lower-amperage battery. You're better off buying a 20A LG, or some other authentic battery.

So essentially, with your Sigelei 100W and a Nautilus tank, at 11W (which is the comfortable maximum wattage for the tank), you won't have to change your batteries for a week. Maybe more.

With a BVC coil it is pretty awesome at 10-11 watts. The BDC coils taste burnt on this device to me. I have heard of some people vaping much higher but anything beyond 11 tastes burnt in my opinion. And not every vape either. It will give you a couple of GREAT tugs at 13, and then sucker punch you with a dry hit. Higher pg juices might alleviate this to a degree? But i haven't tried. And 10 watts is as low as you can go on this device. It will not go lower. So any tank that is tasting bad at 7,8 or 9 watts will be a no go on this device.

I don't remember the exact break down of what wattage it will hit at specific resistance levels you will have to watch the video and see. But it will not hit a 1.6 ohm coil with 100 watts, and no one would want to vape that anyway. It would be like vaping a forest fire.

I have to agree with Susan on the 17-18w. It is nice to have high wattage devices, but just because you have all those watts available, does not change what your tank or build is capable of. Most people who opt to purchase devices such as what your bought, prefer to mate them with RDA's (drippers) so that they can build them to take advantage of the power of their mod.

Yup the mini will be best between 9 and 11 watts. I ran it at 14 watts on the istick and almost every hit was burnt towards the end

Yes, getting above 11 or 12 watts on the iStick is almost impossible. You can on a Vamo, but I'm guessing the Vamo is short-changing the user on the real output.

thanks guys for the reply.. i have tried the nautilus on my vtr at 15 watts and it was not bad with 50/50 juice.. but im guessing above that would over kill.. i currently vape it at arond 10 watts.. i found my sweet spot but it doesnt produce as much vapour as it would like to.. after watching rip trippers.. the amount of smoke that comes out of his is a lot.. dont know how he does it.. im guessing its fake
