Ya I will most definitely let you know how I like it. I am super pumped, can't lie! And again, like you said, I can't stress enough how important it was to me that this item is designed and made in America. That rocks, simple as that.
The whole e-cig community is really kind of a special group. I'm glad I know about this site...the e-cig world just popped up really, and so...many...people are trying to get their foot in the door with a new product or technique. That makes it hard for the consumer to a certain extent - the sheer amount of choices from everything to mods, batteries, attys, carts, liquids. It can be very overwhelming. But this alpha really caught my eye. I really like the ceramic insert idea. And I found it by just browsing the vendor forums. This site enables the buyer and seller to communicate directly and offer instant, communal feedback which in turns makes for a better product. I love the idea that I'm buying something from someone who knows exactly what went in to make this item.
Cheers! I know it comes across cheesy to some but I take great pride in designing and making these here in the US. I'm at the shop every day, in San Carlos, and the machinists working with me are literally my best friends! One interesting side note is that the guru behind our 10 axis swiss screw machine (who happens to have a striking resemblance to Kenny Rogers..) is also an icon in the American Racing scene. He still holds multiple land speed records from the Bonneville Salt Flats.
A bit of perspective- When we're done machining a part I get in my car and drive it to my friend who does Laser Etching in San Jose, and when that's done I pick it up and drive it to my friend who does the plating in Palo Alto, and then finally we sit down and assemble them ourselves, one at a time. It's all close, business on a hand shake, and everybody involved CARES about the quality of the final product. That's what makes the difference.
