Just purchased my first Mechanical Mod... Need input

I just purchased my first mechanical mod, Vanilla LE 18650 mod. Is it possible to use it with AW IMR 18650 1600 mAH 3.7v batteries (The red ones) ? I am planning on using it with my Russian 91%, they look like they match.

Also how exactly do you install magnets on the switch? I read SuperMagnetMan has n35 magnets that fit? Do i need glue or something? I never done it before. Is it just open and pop on and ta da?

the only problem you MIGHT run into is Button top VS Flat top batteries... some mods need a button top or flat top battery in order to work properly. some can use both.

whats important is that you do not exceed the amp limit of the battery.
the batteries you are talking about have a 24 amp limit according to this http://www.tasteyourjuice.com/wordpress/battery-information/

no idea about the magnets.

Yes, I read about not exceeding amp limits via the your coils are built. I do not plan on running sub ohm, the lowest is probably a .9 or 1.0.

the 1600 AW 18650's are the best AW's to use. They will get you there. Might want to look into the 30 amp Sony VTC4 or 5, and the Efest Purple 35 amp batteries.

What's the ohm's on your Russian? You do realize that the ohms of the build determines the what produced on a mechanical,.. umm, right?

Mechs are just a tube and a switch, no electronis, so yeah, as long as you have the right battery, have no shorts in the build, it's open, pop in and ta da, vape, if you have the wrong batteries and to low of ohms on your build, its open, pop in and  KA BOOM.

Got to know your stuff and have the right equipment when dealing with mechs, builds and batteries.

I am running 1.0 ohms. So my ohms determines what? The vape production? I am sorry I am really new at this.

'happydave' - .9 ohm is a sub ohm yes, I really actually meant like below .5, sorry I must've typo'ed ;)

You really should be reading up on ohm's law before getting into this, cause there's kind of a lot to consider, BUT... In general, with a mechanical mod (which has no voltage regulation or variation) your coil is getting only what your battery has to put out (~3.7 volts).
The ohm's, determine how those 3.7 volts flow through your coil. The lower the resistance (ohm), the higher the flow; therefore, the coil will heat up faster and get hotter, usually equating to more vaper, flavor, throat hit yada yada. The higher resistance (ohm), the lower the flow; thus, the coil will take longer to heat up (possibly requiring primer puffs) and may not get as hot.
In Regulated Variable Voltage Mods, you are able to adjust the voltage (change that 3.7 volts to say, 5 volts) for those higher ohm builds, in an attempt to achieve the same result you would get with a sub ohm build. The problem with regulated devices up until recently, was that they couldn't handle sub ohm builds due to the amperage limits that were put in place to ensure good battery life and safety; this, the popularity with non-regulated mechanical mods.
Now... Since you have a mech mod. You don't have that built in protection, which means you MUST do your homework and ensure that you're using IMR batteries that can handle the continuous amperage that your build will put out, so that you don't get catastrophic battery failure.
Please use this to figure out your battery's amp limit.

Sokay, sorry for the long read... I know... I hate homework too, but we want you to be safe!
