Just realized... I don't have to figure out where to put my butts anymore :)

I know it seems simplistic... and it is. When I used to smoke I was always having to look for a place to dispose of my butts when I was out and around. I refused to throw them on the ground so I had to stub them out and carry them around in my pocket until I found a trash can or one of those .... towers or something. Or carry around the filter, smoked down to the nub, until i came across a trash can. If I threw them away too soon I worried that they were still hot and would start the trash on fire (I've seen that happen).

Or smoking in a car with no ashtray. I refused to throw them out the window so again... worrying about where to put them until I could dispose properly.

I no longer have to take a turn cleaning out the *disgusting* .... bucket outside at work- because I don't use it anymore :)

I don't have to find a place to dump the ashtray from my car anymore.

Another huge plus to vaping... no trash left behind. No butts on the sidewalk or in the gutters. No butts in the sand at the beach. Everyone can get behind that, right??

...just one of those little things that you don't really think about... until you realize you no longer have to worry about it :p

I only have a week under my belt of vaping but oh I love it so! I too am so excited I no longer have the .... to worry about. Gathering them all up to wrap in six layers of plastic bags to keep our trash bins from stinking before the trash is picked up, emptying the can at work, always searching for a nice lidded bottle for the car...etc. DONE! No more of that crap around, just yummy vapor and that's it!

Think of how much less liter there would be if more people vaped instead of throwing butts on the ground.

I work from home. My partner is still smoking but no more smoking in the house.

I put planters outside wIth sand instead of using ashtrays. Well in one week the sandtrays Look disgusting!

When I leave the house I'm still looking in my pockets for a lighter and pack is smokes.

I had one of those cars that didn't come with an ashtray. Had one of those ashtrays that looked like a cup. I loved it when I got rid of it cause I got one of my cupholders back. Plus my car stays so much cleaner. Didn't realize how many ashes floated around the car.

Now I did smoke in my house and after I quit I gave it a thorough cleaning. I couldn't believe the dust and crap that had accumulated!

I never thought about that. I, like you, didnt really care for tossing my butts. My ashtray in my car was FULL, i would typically dump it at a gas station in the trash. My car used to be full of empty packs of cigs, since I wouldnt just toss them out the window, i just threw them in the back seat. I drive a lot for work, so my car was pretty messy last time i got around to cleaning it (kept it clean since i did that though) and I must have pulled a bit over 30 empty packs of 27s out of my car.

No more ashtrays to wash! Didn't realize how much I hated that chore till I didn't have to do it anymore...

I never washed my ashtrays, just dumped them and went back to using them, then again, when I had my own place which I smoked in (never again, the smell stuck to my clothes and everything for a year), the place was kinda a pit. Was your typical college party place, people were always over, and in Oklahoma, when its 98 outside, .... that, ill just deal with the smell of my smoky apartment and smoke in the AC. Like I said, never again, I can vape inside and not stink up the place, also, my car smells much better since switching.

Agreed! I hated vacuuming it out...pesky ashes everywhere. No more! Never thought I'd have a nonsmoking car!

funny thing is i still maintain a distance when talking face to face with someone because i was used to doing that out of respect for their nostrils.

OMG I still do that too!! I feel so bad when any vapor goes near anyone- even though they keep telling me it doesn't bother them. I compulsively ask my kids if it bothers them. They're getting tired of telling me no LOL.

My husband and I were on the couch watching a movie a few weeks ago and he started waving away the vapor. I asked him why, since he always said it didn't smell bad or make him sneeze or cough...had something changed? He said it was blocking his view of the TV. LOL.
Quick fix for that, turn a fan on.
