Makes sense to me! Knew they looked larger than AA's. Not that I would ever think of using an unprotected store-bought batt with one of my PV's, but I digress.
<snip>
It's working just fine now. I did not blow out the primer on the first atty. @_@ But I did so with the second after reading that. Thank you so much.

Well, you're welcome, but I didn't do anything!!! :laugh: Sounds like you have it covered.

FYI - it's not the protection per se on the hijack battery topic. The 14650 is 14 mm diameter, 65 mm long, round (0) hence 14650. Whereas the 14500 is 14 mm diameter, 50 mm long, round so 14500. The protection PCB only adds a mm or two (can still be a pain). The 14650 is a longer, but more mAh battery... holds a bigger charge.

Other atty advice: Blow it out twice per day and re-prime with 2 or 3 drops. Keeps it clean and working. Keep the cart topped off so that it doesn't get too dry. Once you get burnt juice taste, it's a bit hard to get out. OTOH if it gurgles, it's too much... it's flooded. Blow it out.

I mistakenly thought they were referring to the 14500 battery instead of the 14650. I would suggest, that if you decided to try dual coil cartomizers, that you get some "high drain" batteries. Otherwise, the dual coils will trip the protection circuit in your regualar li-on batteries.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to be investing in several of the IMR high drain batts along with the EMDCC's... And the V2 shorty adapter. Just seems like an easier combo to me. Any thoughts on using clearomizers on the E-Power?

Summer, Clearo's will work on ePower. I used to use nothing but Clearo's on all my PV's. But, decided to switch to Tanks, or larger volume Clearo's. GotVapes has a newer version of their VISION, 3.5mL large volume Carto, it's called the Deux. I've been using both versions for a week or so, (on ePower). Reason I switched is the XL Clearo's just don't last me a workday. The VISION/Deux will make your 14650 ePower just a smidge over 7 inches long. You won't be able to use your regular cone with the larger Cartomizer's, (unless you're willing to modify it). The Deux is easier to fill than the VISION. Both cartomizer's are essentially just larger C-E2's. If you don't need/want the greater quantity liquid, a regular or XL Clearo would work fine on the ePower. The regular carto won't leave much tip sticking out past the cone. You could always add a Drip Tip/mouthpiece. JMHO

Cheers,

    If you are filling carts I remove the cart filling, fill the cart about 1/2 way with juice, then replace the filling and put a few drops onto the top of the filling until it starts to look saturated...not to puddling though.

    Oops...listen to him...he's been at it a lot longer than I have...

    Please learn the difference between a cartridge and a cartomizer.

    I use the condom method to fill my cartos, it's just faster and easier. I also use cartos with a drip tip on my 14650 e-power most of the time. (I use Boge 2ohm LR cartos on it) Right now the e-power and the tip are a little preoccupied with the wonderful world of dripping tho'.

    Cartomizers are what most people prefer to atomizer+cart

    You said you used a KR808D-1 didn't you? KR808D-1 uses cartomizers. They are disposable combined 1-piece cart and internal atomizer. The most popular 510 threaded carto blanks are Boge and I get the longest good performance out of them by using juices with 20% or less VG, and I avoid juices that drop a lot of cart-clogging flavoring sediment.

    Boge are most popular but besides Boge, some like the dual coil cartos, the new (arriving soon) almost-clear CE3 Smokymizers promise they are better than the cracking leaking CE2 ones (these need a blunt syringe to fill), and there are other kinds but those are the probably top 3.

    I am using an atty and a cart. No cartos on this one yet for me. Although I might invest in some for the Roughstack I'm ordering. I was looking for some suggestions on filling them, and I ordered some syringes because I had heard they were an easy way to fill the carts.
