Just got the 901 for my husband and I we both want to quit smoking . I tried we have both decide we are going to use zero nic juice from the start we want to go through the withdrawals now and just get it over with . I just filled my first cart with kick coffee e-juice zero strength.
First impression: Amazing!!!!!! I love it know the nic withdrawals will be hard but this is going to help so much. tonight I will be going to the store to buy Vg and lorann flavorings to mix our own juice I can't wait to try other flavors. I am so happy I found this forum and so are all 4 of my kids they have been begging us to quite for years we have never smoked in the house so we will probably still vape outside just out of habit. I will let you know how we are doing in a few days thanks to everyone for the great info on here!!!:wub::wub:

nicotine per se doesn't damage one's health

Well, I know it may sound like I'm splitting hairs, but nicotine is a drug, and in some cases it can be harmful. For example, people with certain heart conditions shouldn't be using it.

But it is true that in terms of the 4,000 chemicals in an analog cigarette, nicotine is usually the least of our worries. :)

Thats Great! Stick With It!

I would get a single bottle of 11MG and use it to reduce withdrawal symptoms... many doctors say that the withdrawal symptoms can actually stress the body MORE than quitting. Since e-cigs make it easy to reduce nic intake.. I would get the 11 and maybe only mix in a few drops in a mixture to use in CASE the symptoms are bad. That is a LOT of stress for the body to go thru unnecessarily. I dropped from 24 MG liquid down 18 then 16 then 11 and I am fine with 11MG now... I am switching to zero (mixed with a little 11 maybe) in 2 weeks.

PS.. I have had annual chronic bronchitis for 10 years and my doctor actually told me NOT to quit WHILE I had bronchitis.. but to cut it down to half as much a day at least. When the body is sick... to put it thru withdrawal can be bad for it. Too much stress.

I also have cholesterol well over 340 and I am on birth control (more resons to quit smoking) and although the nic can still affect my heart... I would not give it up cold turkey because of the stress it may cause to my body.

Good luck though! I hope it goes great... and congrats to you both!

The main reason we decided to go 0 nic is that my hubby is very concerned about having the nic juice in the house with the 4 kids 2 of the kids are still young. But sice receiving our kit yesterday I have been telling them that the zero nic juice is poison so they would not touch it and they have stayed away from it so maybe will will order some low nic juice. I am doing very well I have had 1 analogue in 24 hours But I could go for some nic right now I do have the med carts that came with the kit been using those a bit. The second reason I was trying to go nic free is I have had some heart issues in the past and Have been havening major circulation problems but your right trying to go cold turkey is not worth the stress. Thanks for the great advice.

My personal experience: I have had some circulation problems smoking analogs. I am vaping the high strength now and my body is saying it's time to step down. It's weird, but the circulation issues are gone, its just my body says I don't need as much nicotine as I did before. So I'm just about ready to bump down, by the highly inscientific method of "listening to my body" lol.

I've read some articles from european countries over human nature of vaping, and from what I've read, what I've experienced is not out of the norm.

I don't see anything wrong with cold turkey except discomfort, but that's probably advice best suited for a doctor.

E-smoking is not a cessetation device, it is alternative smoking. Quitting smoking is really up to the individual and there's a lot of ways of doing such. As far as the kids, I think you are doing the right thing. You guard your cigarettes from children and the same should go for juice. If it needs to be locked up or educated it being a poison, that's up to the family to decide. :)

Happy vaping, and congrats. I hope you are enjoying it as much as I have.
