Wow... I forgot how fun this little clero is! I got a 5 pack of coils for my Atlantis.V2 that I occasionally use, and I figured I would clean out my v1 and see how it has fared...

It still can fog up a room, and the flavor is still great. Truly a game changing tank for its time.

I've since moved on to rebuilding, and RTAs but I always love to use some of my first devices I used back... actually, a year ago .

So what about you? Do you occasionally go back to older devices just to see how they compare? Or do you throw it away (so to speak) and never look back?

My old Vamo V10 is outfitted with a STM and a 1.3ohm Ti01 build. It has duty in the "throne room" and rests on the counter. The serial 18350's will almost last a full STM tank full before needing replacing.

Frankly I think I'm currently getting more use out of the old V10 now then when I was pairing it with Nautilus tanks.

I still use my Atlantis V1, but I rebuild the coils for it. Check out the Kanthal Kid's You Tube vid on it. I use 24G N80 instead of the 26G N80 he uses, but it works great at 30 - 40W. Can be rewicked without pulling the coil out too. I haven't tried it with the V2 coil heads though.

That's awesome! I'll definitely check that out though! I have a few old, used spares lying around.

The v.2 work better with 70vg than from what I remember about the original ones. They stopped making the .5 Ohm coils for some reason though. They make a .5 Ohm Clapton coil but I've never been terribly impressed with how much wattage is needed to ramp up a Clapton.

Sent from my 300w VW/VV TC Ni200 SS A1 .2 Ohm Dual ZZ Top Fused Caterpillar Dylan Springsteen coils... Or an iPhone.

I used the old .5 ohm V1 coils and they wick my 96%VG Blue Razz Slushy juice like it's water. It's a horizontal build and the wick tails poke directly at the juice holes in the coil head. Tons more airflow without the cotton filling up the head. I haven't rebuilt one in a while, but I think it was a 3mm 8wrap 24G N80 coil, but you could probably do a build with a KA1 parallel coil too. The only tricky part is getting the coil to stay centered while you wick it, but it's not too bad.

That's crazy! I know how thick that juice can get, we are two of the biggest supporters of OSDIYS Blue Razz Slushy I recon ;)

I'm puffin on some right now in my velocity. :thumb: Trying to get rid of the taste of a new flavor I bought. FA Dark Vapure. Eww. I'm definitely NOT diggin it. Like a dirty ashtray soaked in chili pepper juice.

I need to make some more... I forgot to change the flavor base on my calc and ended up with something like a 90% VG mix when I was going for 70%. I still use it, but next time...

Good to know about Dark Vapure though... Looking to start making a cigar liquid (after I can make something super sweet) that will work for me. I never really smoked cigars all the time (I was a pipe smoker)

The Dark Vapure is just a few days old and I'm hoping it magically transforms into something tasty, but right now it's not good.

INW's TDM Latakia (sadly, BCV quit carrying this one and I'm almost out) and Gold Ducat are the best pipe tobaccos I've found so far. When I make my next order, I'm going to try that Maxx Blend cigar recipe you were typing with somebody about last week.

I am always interested in the newest thing on the market so currently use a TFV4, a TFV4 mini, and a Herakles Plus. They're great and I love them, but..........

It has been my experience that a juice that I thought was great just wasn't quite the same in one of the newer tanks and I wasn't ready to move on from what was once a favorite vape. So, I keep in my daily rotation a Sub, a Sub mini, and 3 (yes, 3) Atlantis V1 tanks. It took me most of a year to settle in on what works for me, so I'm not going to eliminate something until I tire of it. Now instead of continually searching, I am fine with a more relaxed and occasional "search". Besides, where I live, it is next to impossible to "dispose of" unused equipment.

Sorry, but I have nothing to add on the coil building and DIY subjects.

Don't be sorry! We got a bit OT...

I find with the newer tanks, the airflow takes center stage, then flavor is in the way back. I think I like my Atlantis V1 because of the flavor it produces at such low wattages. The V2 is a close second, but I usually run it opposite of the max airflow. Since you mentioned... how long do you usually get from the TFv4 coils? I find that mine last about a week, then the vapor production takes a nose dive.

That is a bit difficult and my answer will not apply to many/most. I have only used the TF-T3 triple coils in the TFV4 and get 3 - 4 weeks so far. I just got the mini Jan 4 and am still running the quad coil(?) and going strong so far. But here's the catch......I switch tanks several times a day, so may only use either TFV4 2 - 4 hours a day and might not at all some days. I guess that would roughly calculate out to a comparable weekly change if I used little/nothing else.
