Hello everyone!
I've been lurking around on here researching for a while, and finally signed up maybe a week or two ago when I made the decision that I definitely wanted to get a PV. Being a dedicated Djarum Black smoker for years, I've been rather unhappy with the Camels that I had to settle for since New Year's (when my stash ran out.)
And the thing is, although I really don't want to smoke ciggys anymore, I really enjoy smoking. Not the taste necessarily, the Blacks I thoroughly enjoyed the taste, but regular ciggys not quite so much. What I really enjoy is having a smoke. Stepping away from the computer (I'm a graphic designer, so I spend lots of time in front of the computer in a zone) and getting outside for a little. I like how I can just clear my head. I look forward to the 11am and 2pm smoke breaks with one of my co-workers, we can just chat about random stuff. I enjoy working on cars, and I enjoy smoking while doing so. I like to sit on the deck and have a smoke. There are more times I really enjoy having a smoke, I won't list them all.
But like I said, I'm not really keen on ciggys. They're no cloves, I'll leave it at that. And it's rather irritating when people ask 'why doncha just quit?' Well, I have quit before. For nearly a year. And as dumb as it sounds, I started again when my cat died. He was 21. Then they look at me like I have 3 heads. And it is a terrible vice, I know. But I enjoy it.
But I digress. And I start lots of sentences with conjunctions, so please bear with me. I've been hearing those radio commercials about ecigs and of course had to look into it. Thank goodness I did some research. Without this forum, I could have ended up with something terrible. I finally decided on the Sidesho from Modern Vapor. Then something amazing happened. All of a sudden, my husband (who had no interest in the 'disposable' ecig I got from the local mini-mart) decided to order one too. Maybe he just got tired of hearing about them all the time. Or maybe curiosity got the best of him. Whatever his reason, he decided to give it a whirl. So we now have 2 Sidesho's on the way, along with some extra carts, attys, juices, and some blue foam. Tony let me know that they shipped out today, I'm so excited!
I just wanted to thank everyone here for having such a great forum, and an invaluable resource to the vaping community. The choices truly are overwhelming to a novice, and there really hasn't been a question that I've had thus far that I've not been able to find answered on here already. And everyone seems so helpful. Maybe once I get more acquainted with the PVs in general and refilling and mixing juices I will have some unique questions of my own, but for now I am just absorbing the information abound.
Thank you everyone for bearing with me. Generally I don't ramble on quite so terribly, unless I happen to catch someone who drives a DSM, then I will chat their ear off forever. Or cats. I'm already a crazy cat lady and I'm not even 30, so I will ramble on to other cat peoples as well. Other than that, I'm not generally so brazen, and don't talk about myself nearly this much.
Nikki
