New to the forums. I started vaping three weeks ago. Went to a local shop and picked up a mechanical mod right off the bat with a carto tank. Switched to a Protank 2 the next week and have been rocking Protank 2 ever since. I have been spreading the good vaping word to everyone I meet. The Mech mod seems to attract alot of attention and is a great conversation starter. I have gotten several friends onto the vaping path and to quit the analogs, and have even gotten an ex-vaper to give vaping another try after she had a bad experience with poor juice right off the bat. A couple hits off my blue rasbery from Lotus and she was wanting to quit the analogs again and give vaping another try. I love this stuff....

@ Explicit - It's a KTS telescopic storm. Just a cheap China mod to get me started. It came with a carto tank but I've purchased a couple of Protank 2's and really love them.

@ Stormcrest - I did a bit of research myself before I took the plunge, however, nothing could prepare me for the wonders of vaping. Can't wait for you to start =)

@ recpuffer - It depends on your setup and the size of your tank. A good topper and a large battery should have no problem handling those levels. I go through about a tank and a half to two tanks a day myself running an 18650 battery and Protank 2.

@ Robm41 - The best way to go depends on the person. Some prefer dripping, others prefer a punched carto and a fat tank, others still go with clearomizers. It depends on your preference. To start with, get something that will hold a large charge so you're not recharging more than you are vaping. Then you'll need a carto of some type. I recommend the Protank 2 for beginners. It's easy to fill, has a good draw and a pure taste. I stay away from plastic tanks like clearomizers because some juices will eat away at the plastic and create a huge mess. Lastly, is your juice. This is the hardest choice and takes the most personal experience. I didn't really hit my stride, buying a few different bottles a week, untill I stumbled on some blue raspberry and fell in love. I recommend it to everyone I know. Just remember, different coils and different juices will have a different throat hit as well so that will depend on personal preference. If you have a reputable shop locally, they should be able to listen to what you are looking for and point you in the right direction.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
