Hi everyone,
I'm brian botkiller, and I thought I'd introduce myself. I live in Albuquerque, NM, and I am a musician/studio engineer.
I'm new here, not too new to vaping, but new on doing it RIGHT. I started with a BLU kit about a year ago, and realized it was total .... (I know, we all learn the hard way sometimes). More recently got a nice Riva510 kit from Liberty Flights, and super happy now. I had quit smoking many years ago (around 25 years old, after starting at 14 - I'm now 30 - was up to 2 PPD), but I've had the itch lately, having gone thru a massive life change and breakup about two years ago, and I really didn't want to go back. I had snuck in some cloves and a cig here or there, but I knew it was a slippery slope. I am very happy I have found vaping, as it offers me something I LOVE - smoking - with out all the other side effects.
I know vaping is still new, and I certainly do hope that it's not one of those things that we all find out is really, really bad for us down the road, but I think that the studies which have been done, and the AWESOME community built around it, show great promise. Either way, smoking cigs is dead, as dead as the many people they've killed.
My father smoked from age 9 until probably his last day on earth when he passed at 61, and while smoking didn't kill him (directly), I'm sure it didn't help his health and his passing at what I still think is an early age in this day. I wish that I could have shown him vaping so many years ago. Perhaps he would still be here.
I just want to thank all the awesome vapers out there, Grimm Green especially, who has given me so much knowledge and great laughs at the same time (his usage of "that's what she said" is great).
I hope to be a good contributor to the forum, I am currently also working up a number of videos and reviews.
On one final side note, I am a musician, and if you are interested, please check me out. I make electronic music here: brianbotkiller.com - music | brianbotkiller.com
and I am a drummer in a synthpunk band here: Music « VertigoVenus.com
Thank you all! Glad to be here.
