So the quick version... mom was a 3 pack a day smoker who recently switched to vaping with great results. She now informs me about 20 times a day on facebook which exciting new flavor she is trying, and uses foreign languages including words like "twist" and "carto"... while I mostly blink at my screen and pretend I'm cooking dinner for my kid or something. (Okay, sometimes I really am cooking..)

However... I've been contemplating the "smush em up and move on" concept for a few years, while continuing to panic when my lighter goes missing.

So... some things changed around my house of a personal nature... and mom offered to hook me up with a vaping starter kit (which turned into... a set with 2 pretty purple batteries and... tanks which i wont attempt to use the correct name for... ) a vision twist..and a vivi carto (is that right? really... i need a dictionary on hand at all times... and i totally come from the "if you can type it in 3 letters you really dont need to use all 4" generation)... and a few sample juices. she then pointed me at these forums and said "go forth and learn!" (or something.)

5 hours later... a mild headache because i can't put these things down (they are sooooooooo tasty...)... no "real cigarettes" since the mailman got here (not saying i'm going for a perfect quit... i've got most of a pack left and i'm starting to crave one) -- been sitting at my computer going through my normal routine (except reading this forum instead of maybe playing wow... oh sigh, i've been caught, i'm a computer nerd..) -- i figure if i can go 5 hours at my keyboard without getting ash on it, i'm probably going to be sticking with this vape thing.

looks like you take after your momma with all the writing you just did. i got headaches when I switched too because even though you get less nicotine with each hit from vaping (typically, if your using 18mg or under nic juice) you tend to vape more and get more nicotine than you did when you smoked Sounds like you gottttt.. what? I work at home, online, via my computer so I'm always sitting here at my desk... Sims for me, haven't tried WoW, and a few other things... not so much for the Facebook and never got into the Twitter deal, but yeah, love the internet and all it has to offer me and, for the most part, it keeps me out of trouble LOL!

*snicker* Cait! I knew you weren't really cooking! You own two purple 1100 mah Kgos with accompanying clear clearomizers, a 1300 mah Vision Spinner, a Vision Vivi Nova and a couple of purple ego vision clearomizers. (that I threw in for color, no idea how well they work though I wish he sold the clear ones that come with the KGO kit separately as they're the only non-Vivi clearos I've liked so far)

Welcome and congrats on a new journey. Don't "fight" the urge for the cig. have it if you need it,,, just don't give up on vaping. If ur experience is anything like mine,,ur preference to vape may one day replace the preference to smoke a cig. That’s a true gift when it occurs. I was stuck with the idea I'd go to my grave with a pack of Marlboros in my pocket. Not so today,,,(maybe again one day) ,,, but not today !

not the vivi, that is of course clear.

epage -- i was stuck on sims for a long time, but i stopped at midevil. i really wanted to like it, being a fantasy geek along with a computer one... but doing the same "missions" over and over... well... yeah. .

WAT taht is so not fair. Back in my days the kgo sets came in stainless color or black, now you even get purple clearos. I should write him a letter! Anyhow glad you're liking it. To think something would come along that I'd like as much or more than smoking still boggles my mind, I wish I'd thought it up.

Seems like you started smoking on a great device from what I been reading on the forums. It's great that your mom got you smoking e-cigs instead of going in blind like myself and wasting more money for a better device then what I had.

It is kinda hard to give up smoking at first but after 3 days I didn't have an urge to smoke analogs. I started vaping 26mg of nic. going down to 18 now. I hated making my friends wait while we were playing LOL so I could go smoke outside since I hated smoking in the house cause of ashes. I always made a mess and could never quite get it to land on the ashtrays while I was gaming.

hehe. i know the feeling. not of going outside... but at least of the mess the ashes make! and constantly having to lie and be like "sorry, i hit some lag" when in fact i was lighting another cigarette. so okay... my hands aren't completely free now. but i'm really enjoying the freedom of placing the ecig down and knowing its not going to completely burn away if i dont pick it right back up.

and yeah, i am really glad my mom did all the experimenting so i didn't have too. finances were a part of the switch, and i couldn't have afforded to get it wrong. . now all i have to experiment with is flavors... oooooh the flavors...

I'll give you the same recommendation I give everybody, because this is what worked for me...I'm a former 510 system user. (Well, I'm a former every vaping system available user....

My vaping tastes have evolved radically over the past few years but I've found the "GO-GO" Starter Kit a good bet for the following reasons;

IF you're SICK of messin' with inconsistent Atomizers and all the of tasteless 510 & eGo vapors, then this system WILL please you.

* Cost - $59.95 for complete two eCig starter kit with (five) pre-filled Cartos or (three) pre-filled Go-Tanks: GO-GO KIT

* Batteries last up to two days between charges (depending upon how heavily you vape)

* Go-Carts - (Go-Carts hold 3ml of Nic Juice & Go-Tanks can hold up to 2 ml. (I vape all day on 2-3 ml) - The Carts are really no muss, no fuss but once you've acclimated to vaping you should really switch to the Go-Tanks (GO GO PREMIUM TANKS) as the vapor, flavor and throat hit are unparalleled. I really do insist that in time you do this

Be sure to order the PRE-FILLED Go-Carts when you re-order. (Five pre-filled Cartos will come with your Kit but you'll need to specify the flavor and strength.
