Hey everyone!

New to the site and already super pumped to get vaping and sharing on here! Just had to make my first post to start and get the analog free lifestyle rolling... The site looks great and I hope to get some awesome help if I need it on the way, if anything else I'm sure ill learn quick enough from creeping posts...hahaha.. As for the hardware I'm going to be getting a :vapor:dual cig joye 510 starter kit:vapor: as soon as I hear back from Northern Vapor. It'll be my "cherry popper" of my vaping experience. Other than that I guess ill find the right forum for the right question...

Thanks Guys and Gals!!!

Welcome!

I recommend manual batteries. A lot. Joye 510 manuals are totally sealed on the threaded end so you can safely use a drip tip on the atomizer and it's safer for using cartomizers too since those are the two methods that might leak on the end of the battery and the most popular methods of vaping.

If they don't have them then check Cignot.com Joye 510 no-box ($36 or so for a 2 Joye 510 kit)

Haha wow i like this place already...ive used a lot of forums but you guys here are quick...thanks alot guys nice to have help without even trying for real....just imagine if i had a question...

but all that aside ..yeah i always heard from my friend that "showed me the way" that manual batteries were the way to go he never really explained why (he didnt know?) He just said he did have a small leak/switch trippin out situation after a bit with the auto...he just said the manual was a safer bet...i guess thats confirmed. i just might check out that site as well (cignot)...the only other thing i found close was china clones that are "exact" apperantly (coming from an actual 510 owner)...i was at least thinking about going with closer site just to be a lil more secure in my head ..lol but im thinking NV is fine...my good buddy said buddy there is pretty chill...yet to find out but ill be buying multiple units for friends and new vapers if he is....ill let you guys know on here for sure...

Now that i think about it the only thing i cant really seem to figure out for now is...

I love vaping and will be using this a lot but I'm mainly getting this for my girlfriend, to help her quit smoking..now i get the deal with the batt. life and vapor amt. differences and the big tank (fill) advantage with the Ego and it sounds like something i will be getting next, seeing as I'm looking for a "eblunt"/"cigar" and not finding worthwhile luck....ego will do even if i make a custom Cigar paper sticker of some sort...i have ideas...but ego i dont think the girlfriend would like....but I've been told that (at least for my site) the 510/ego parts are interchangeable?...what will it take for me to get to the ego with my 510 in the next month? just a ego battery and cone cover?...or is everything different?...if i can just make a seperate order for 2 cheap parts and have an ego then im lovin it...

I recommend you buy Joye brand, the original manufacturer. There is at least one clone that has chargers/batteries that are the opposite electrical polarity. That means if you ever got a different brand 510 battery and stuck it in the wrong charger you could actually melt it. And some clones are just inferior with crappier atomizers.

Just so you know - Joye 510 batteries have short life. 180mah and most people say 100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping. So a Joye 510 battery lasts 1-3 hours depending on how much it is vaped, There are longer 510 batteries called 510 mega xl that are 280mah - I know FreedomSmokeUSA.com has a couple of Joye Mega XL kit colors. These batteries are about an inch longer so about 128mm w/ a cartomizer, a bit longer with atomizer and cart the way they come. I have charging cables at work and use a PCC when I am away from power. For my short standard 510's I use a PCC from NoSmokeVA.com - very roomy. For the mega 510 batteries the only PCC is a much less roomy metal one.

Then there are the fat battery models like Ego and Riva 510. These have batteries available in 650mah to 1100mah and can also use hotter hitting power hungry low resistance atomizers and cartomizers and people who like big hot kits and lots of TH like those LR things.
