Hello all! My names Greg, I just got into vaping, picked up the Modern Vapor Sidesho SS atty, auto battery, and some blank carts (and assorted e-juices for said carts). Must say its not quite what I expected, but the product seems to work very well (though I have no basis for comparison aside from analogs) and the customer service was outstanding. I look forward to learning and vaping even more! (and avoiding tarring up my lungs further) Any advice, or future purchase recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I don't have any specific questions yet no; I don't seem to be getting a real "crisp" flavor with my E-juices as of right now, but Im guessing a big part of that is that the atty isn't broken in (and I didn't rinse it in hot water as I rushed home on lunch to grab it out of the mail and was late back to work) Does anyone have any experience with the MV E-juices? Would you suggest anything different?

Welcome Greg. Congrats on making one of the best decisions you'll ever make, and for choosing the best e-cig forum on the net. I would recommend a nice 3.7V mod, once you get comfortable. You'll get great battery life and really consistent hits.

Never be afraid to ask around,

Lol I already chose another $75 of e-juices (plus an extra atty/battery order) I intend to get with my next paycheck. I haven't even had my pv 7 hours.

Yea I'm sure once Ive gone a while without any cancersticks I'll prolly be tasting things entirely differently. I never was a "heavy" smoker though, took maybe 2-3 days to go through a pack. I just never have any energy without the nicotine (or a few double turbo'ed DD coffees to substitute) so I always came back to them. I feel this is a safer alternative. My favorite Juice I have now is the MV Clove juice, I adored Clove cigarettes, but they were recently banned (In NY anyways?) and the cigars and cigarellos never quite did it for me. The juice seems to have abit of the flavor I missed so much :)

Well it seems you are learning the is a huge amount of variety out there for both equipment and juices. If clove is the flavor you are missing than I would suggest looking at all of the fine vendors on the Forum Suppliers link. I've noticed clove juices on a number of them but not sure which ones as cloves were never really my thing. Order a small sample from each to narrow down which you like best.

The other possibility is that different equipment may help you out. I have never tried a 902 atty for comparison but from most of the research I did it seemed the 510 and KR808-D1's got the most praise among the mini's for flavor and vapor production. Both systems also have a lot of variety for both suppliers and types of atty or carto setups.

My main point is it often takes quite a bit of experimenting for some people to find their own :vapor: Sweet Vape :vapor:

Just be patient and don't be afraid to take it slow as long as what you are using is good enough to keep you off analogs for now you're on the right path. As another wise member told me before - "Remember it's not a race"

Welcome to the ECF... you have one thing right... you are here, and here you will get more help and more advice than you can imagine. Remember to take all advice with a grain of salt as we that are happy with what we are using have become huge fans of our own setups.. so we wax rhapsodic on what we are using.

My opinions

Auto batteries - not good, an auto battery is trying to simulate smoking, and a PV ( Personal Vaporizer ) or PENIS ( Personal Electronic Nicotine Inhalation System ) ;) is not a cigarette, it doesn’t work anything like a cigarette, and the more they try to make it look and feel like a cigarette, the less functional they become. ( my experience anyway )

Go for a Manual battery, that way you are deciding when heat is applied to the juice, and when it is not.

Looking like a cigarette, the more a PV has the look and size of a cigarette, the less functional it becomes, the battery has to be tiny hence runs out of charges very very quickly, etc etc etc

That said... there is a very good standard 510 model out there that looks somewhat like a cigarette that is quite functional and gives very good hits.

Some ( myself included ) will tell you to go larger... I vape an eGo and am quite pleased with it, some like the Tanks system, I don’t... I prefer the type B cartridge and type B LR atomizers... but that is just me.

Anyway... welcome to the forums... you find out very very quickly that once you have a satisfying PV ( or PENIS ) that it looks acts and feels like a cigarette becomes meaningless because you will strongly prefer the vape to smoking.

I wouldn’t touch a cigarette now if all my batteries and atomizers died this moment... I would wait the week for more to come in the mail.... to get to that point, you need to find an e-cig that works for you, and a juice you really like.
