I haven't been around much as of late. I sold all my e cig stuff and quit. I used the money to buy a mandolin and have been playing that thing a lot. probably one of the coolest instruments I have ever learned. Check out a band called Nickel Creek. I want to play like that.

Anyway, I wanted to share some thoughts on giving up vaping. Nicotine really takes a hold. I was actually surprised that I had as strong of withdrawals as I did. Today is day 6 and I still feel it a bit. day 1 was easier than day 2, 3 and 4. By day 5 the level started to drop down.

The withdrawals weren't the same as quitting the analogs. I just had trouble sleeping. I actually still have trouble sleeping. I get about 3-4 hrs then wake up. do some stuff, have a nap, wake up etc. I have 2-3 naps a day now for 20 mins to 1 hr.

But, I have stopped hacking up clear plegm, the cough has gone... no allergy pills needed this week... I've put on a little weight but I got that under control day 3. I actually am hungry more often. I even ate brunch today.

I can safely say now I won't smoke or vape ever again. I'll have a puff of the unmentionable now and then. I'll pop in once in a while to say hi here, but I won't be researching or testing stuff. Hell I'll come to the vape meets still to have a beer with my friends even.

Take care all and best of luck in your vaping journeys

I don't think the Lone Ranger is allowed to leave Tonto all alone when he's being attacked by bandits :) but I can understand you dropping the vape. I found I had to cut my nic levels which I thought would never happen, to 12mg from 24 in a week. Despite going to 18mg and thinking that I would never drop past that. Maybe one day I'll just be vaping Cherry PG or something.

Haha Rules...... don't get me started or I will be banished again. Best of luck, see you back in 30-50lbs, hope you kept a Reo around :)

It's been a battle at times. Yesterday I was jonesing bad and I was actually talking to myself out loud about it. Tomorrow is 1 week. Today I wake up and feel just fine... Gary I think violin is my next instrument, or sax I haven't decided. I've allready worn out a set of strings on the mandolin. I am loving this instrument to death. I can't beleive how much fun they are to play. it can be a ukulele or it can be a banjo.

if I have to play in a country band it's going to be something that is a challenge. I am liking this bluegrass stuff a lot. check this guy around the 4 minute mark. I want to be that good.

it's been just over 2 weeks now nicotine free. I will admit it has been a challenge at times. nic sure gets a hold on us and hangs on tight. even just a couple days ago I was doing the pocket search for my pv or a cig without knowing it. that said my voice has improved over the last 2 weeks and no more spitting crap out finally.

I have nearly worn out another set of strings on my mandolin allready. getting about a week per set so going to invest in more expensive "coated" strings like I have on my acoustic guitar.

yesterday I went and auditioned for a recording artist as bass player and back up vocals. well turns out I'll be doing 50/50 on the vocals and recording on their 4th cd

and I got my pt cruiser finally!! 2003 dream cruiser gt. this is the ltd edition turbo, fully loaded. mine is #2787. tangerine pearl.

Pip. I am your road nemisis. PT Turbo vs HHR SS. I stuck the GMPP Stage 1 kit in mine..upped the HP by 40 and the torque by 65. Now you'll need someone on the bumper pushing like He77.
Good to hear the nic is only in an empty top pocket. Don't forget the bandades for those fretted fingers. Can't be bleeding during a recording session.
Cheers Bud!!
