I use a Sourin drop loaded with 50 nic salt as my nic hitter in conjunction with my primary mods. It has been very reliable and I use cartridges well past the recommended lifespan, I just do not allow them to run dry. My biggest complaint is the battery; I need to get a second one as a back up.

This is WAY more expensive than my smoking was. I just ordered my first starter mod and tank, but it looks like it won't be here for a few weeks. In the meantime, I'm left with one somewhat reliable, but not very flavorful pod device.
I love the flavors and feel of vaping, but I'm really starting to re-think this. What was supposed to be an effective way to quit smoking has become endless hours of research, frustration, and wasted money that I just don't have.
Is it really supposed to be THIS difficult?
Hang in there, I found that study will transcend money and frustration issues.

Start up costs can be inevitable. I actually spent more on vaping in the beginning a) because I didn't know enough about vaping to instantly "find" the gear that I like. B) me and the husband used an injector machine and loose tobacco, so my 3 ppd habit didn't really cost me the usual amount. C) I wanted to be prepared for a possible future in which vape supplies and gear may've been either hard to obtain, or more expensive as taxation was levied on vaping. I don't regret any of my purchases, honestly.

I will say, compared to my health costs? (I had pneumonia pretty much non-stop for 18 months when I quit, meds inhalers, nebulizers, those all cost me a fortune.) Vaping was rather insignificant, if I factored in what it would "cost" me, not just in money, but also in life lost. There was no comparison for me.

With that said, now that I know my style of vaping, have been doing DIY and RTAs for a while (although, I do love certain drop in tanks still) and I don't regret any of my purchases. What didn't work for me, I was able to give away and know that someone else would have a use for it. I did make some purchases that didn't "fit" me at first, but knowing someone else could use them made me feel better about it.

Hang in there, and know that whatever start up costs you have, will pay for themselves down the line, if you successfully switch to vaping alone. I just cannot believe my health improvement and would have paid far more than I actually paid, and I have enough nicotine in the freezer to keep me going a long time.

Best of luck,

Anna
