I have mostly switched over to rebuildables at this point, but still use cartos in tanks when I travel because unfortunately RBAs leave something to be desired in terms of leaking all over everything when not standing upright and my unwillingness to travel with a butane torch, mesh, kanthal, all the items I need to work on an RBA and fix it if the coil/wick falls apart, none of which would make the TSA happy.

Anyway, long story short: I usually buy 300-500 cartos at a time and then I'm all set for a while. After buying nothing for about half a year I come back to re-up and suddenly discover.

- Boges LR 2.0Ω: What happened? Seriously, what happened here? These were awesome, on a scale of 1-10 I gave them a 8.5, maybe a 9. What I just received is a weak 4. When did these get completely ruined???

- Resurrector / Smoktech single-coil 1.7Ω: Same thing. Not as bad as what's happened to Boge, but quality on these has walked off a cliff in the last 6 months.

I need cartos that I can punch and slot into tanks. Stainless without paint. LR for use with mostly all-mechanical mods (Super T and GG). If Boge and the Smoktech single coils have turned to junk, what am I left with here... I've tried Kangers in the past, but never re-upped after my initial try and small order of 20, because I think they had a funky taste and were definitely not better than the old Boges, but in the here and right now I'm thinking of giving these another try because the Boge LRs have become just terrible.

Any other standard, LR, 35mm cartos that can be punched and put into tanks that I'm missing and anyone would recommend? I am thinking I will re-try Kangers at this point because I'm just running out of options, the top 2 cartos I used have seemingly become junk in the last 6 months.

I am seriously annoyed. Just when things are working pretty well, China goes and breaks everything and then denies there is a problem, which tends to mean it's not going to get fixed. Just blah.

Sorry, perhaps wrong forum, I'm asking what cartos are not junk in the here and now, but to make it 100% relevant to this forum: mini-review, Boge LR right now, compared to 6 months ago = have become significantly worse in all respects, taste is weird and they are metering at 2.2-2.4 instead of 2.0-2.2 like they used to. Things have changed, not for the better.

Wow. It is problem andk you only got one response. Have you come up with anything since this post? I'm wanting
1.7 or LR and single oil with the 510 for my drip tips in the 35 mm and 45 mm size. I am going to post until I get results. Did you get results?
Yeah it's been a minute. I honestly don't know if they've "fixed" Boges yet. I've purchased IkenVape platinums before and while I might be wrong, do your own test: pick up a box of Boges and pick up a box of iKenVapes, there is no difference. They come from the same factory. They are just branded Boges with color box/logo option checked to [x] yes. I may be missing some special QC features they have, but sadly my experience is identical to Boges with the IkenVapes: 6 months ago = both were amazing; recent orders, both are about the same quality.
My solution has been giving up and moving on to rebuildables almost exclusively, using SmokTech single-coil 1.7 Ω cartos when I am stuck using a carto and can't pack butane torches and mesh and blah blah blah, and walk it by the TSA when I need to travel.

I am hoping one of these months, quarters, years, whatever, they actually fix Boges and they go back to being decent cartos.

BTW- these are all in relation to the 35mm cartos, which is the size I find useful for tanks.

I feel your pain schismz, I also got a bad batch a couple of months ago. I brought it up with the supplier and after a few years, a few thousand cartos, and more than a few thousand dollars spent with them I was accused of either being an amateur and not knowing how to use the product or I was trying to rip them off. Some of these companies have become to big to care about the customers it seems.
