It's what I use when I travel, it does last long I was I'm a co-op and I think there Panasonic 18650 no tags because it was 1 of the co op rules. I can get over 2 days on a batt.

Why get an extension tube for 18650 while using the mini ?
I got both reg and mini. I take the mini plus extra batt or the mini plus 18490 and the extension cap and can get a full day or use the reg provari plus extension for 18650 ( Panasonic ) when I'm sure i will need it all day.

V2 would be 1 of the reasons if you own a v1 and then the mini came out you bought it now you have batts for both with cap. Well that's why I do anyhow lol.
