k-100 voltage drop

Anyone tested the voltage drop on the k-100 empire clone mod?

Battery under no load = 3.85v
With .8Ω coil under load = 2.97v

After taking apart and sanding contacts to expose brass:
Battery under no load = 3.71v
With .8Ω coil under load = 3.22v

Voltage drop prior to modification = .88v drop
Voltage drop post modification = .49v drop

I was getting a .5 drop on my EA. I took some alcohol and cleaned both ends of my batts, then I wiped the contacts, then I cleaned the threads and applied some noalox. My drop is now .3, which from what I've read is an exceptable drop. I think the contacts on the k100 are chrome plated brass (or something over brass) but sanding down to expose the brass could help also.
