K100 firing on its own?

So my K100 mech has begun to fire without the button having been depressed. I've taken it apart, cleaned the button, springs, etc.. I have swapped out batteries (and no I do not have a battery in upside down). Can't understand it. For now I have taken out the battery and shelved the unit as this pretty much scares the heck out of me. Anyone else ever heard of this?

Such a simple device, for the life of me I can't even guess how it's making a circuit without the contact being pressed..

Yes it is.

Mine will do that if I tighten the telescoping part really tight (it makes the battery compress the spring down to the switch).

Thank you. It looks like that is what I had done. Backed it off a bit and all is working normally. Thanks again.
