K100 Mech Mod Questions

Ok guys I'm fixing to buy a k100 but I don't know much about the cartomizers I should buy. I wanna keep the original shield cover so what's the best cartomizer I should get and for it to fit. I know I've been told to use a low ohms cartomizer. I also know I have to buy a drip tip as they don't come with them. I have a lavatube with a protank 2 but I work outside and my tank just leaks from the e liquid getting hot and leaking through the tube so that's why I wanna switch plus it's smaller. Is there anything else I should know that I need. I already have some batteries and charger but I open on suggestions if their are batteries out there that r any better than others.

Honestly A mechanical is more used for RDA's like a Patriot or nimbus but you can use carto's if you want to, I would go for a 1.5 ohm carto. most carto tanks will come with a drip tip so you won't have to worry about that.

I would get some sony vtc-5 2600mah batteries. Sony's are the best batteries in my opinion, but thats cause I subohm frequently.

1.5ohm cartos work pretty good on mechs, not as good as an RBA but does the job

yeah get 1.5 ohm cartos and it should come with a supplied drip tip... mine that came with it looks like this:

If I was going to use a carto on a k100 it would be those, they work great for me. You will be at about 8w at 3.7v where your battery will be most of the time. I don't run carto's much hotter than that unless they are in a tank to stay wet.

Hmm I've never seen the nimbus or patriot until now. I like how the nimbus is short making the k100 even shorter. I've never had a rebuildable. Do these fit in the k100 good, when I ask this I mean are they flush and the same size as the base of the k100.What all would I need to buy to have everything I needed to use this and are there instructions on how to use or rebuild it? Also would I have to worry about sucking up ejuice with one of these like I would when using a tank?thanks for all the help.
