Today I chatted with Markus at Mt Baker. Told him I noted repeated leak issues on the kabuki 1.5 & no leak issues reported on d'elegance.
He said they don't sell many kabukis, but he had fewer leak complaints on d'elegance.
I inquired if v 1.5 was a different tank or just more accessories.
He provided me the ecf link to "anyone using a kabuki?" But did not answer the question.
The 1.5 is $85 & d'elegance is $150.
Either way a lot to pay for a likely leaky tank.
I want flavor & no leaks, this shouldn't be an unreasonable request.

There is Zero difference between the Two.

You are paying for an engraved steel tank section with the more expensive option, otherwise they are exactly the same.

I have never had a Kabuki leak. It's the most trouble-free tank I've used. Set it. Forget it.

If, by leaking, you mean a bit of juice on the pin: that it will do. Leaking? Not so much.

Mt Baker is getting fewer complaints on the D'elegance because they sell fewer of them imo.

i have 3 authentic and 2 kabuki clones that i use regularly and other than your occasional drop of ejuice on pin after i take tank off, i have had no leaking issues except when i personally accidently flood it by priming coil again when i already did so. i actually use silica wicked rebuilt coils that are easier to flood so if mine aren't leaking, would have to say kabuki's are pretty leak proof.
if however someone uses high PG juices, i suppose that could make it have leaking issues more, i use at least 70% vg ejuices in mines with no issues.

I'm a 90% vg'er & thanks so much for your insight.
