Kanger 1ohm and .8ohm coil differences

I picked up both coils to go with my aerotank mega. The 1 ohm coils have been working wonderfully for me. When I switched out to the .8 ohm coils, I've noticed they're constructed differently.

If you look at the pictures, they show 2 different types of coils. One has a slot on each side, and the other has 2 holes per side. The 1ohm coils that I have are slotted, but the .8ohm coils have 2 holes per side. I've burnt up 2 .8ohm coils so far because they aren't wicking nearly enough juice.

Has anyone else been having wicking issues with the .8?

I'm vaping away on a .8 right now. Zero issues and I'm no my 2nd tank. THis is actually the first time I've enjoyed my Aerotank. I am using on a mech mod though with no kick of any kind.

Do your .8 ohm coils have holes in them or are they slotted like my 1ohm coils? What percentage mix juice are you using?

Just wanted to bump this back up with some new findings.

A good friend of mine decided to really disassemble his v2 coil and found out something really neat. The v2 coils is the same as the v1 coil, just with an outer cover. This gives us hope of rebuilding the v2 coils!

My .08's are two hole with the long stem. I'm still on my first one, 3 refills on a magneto un-kicked! Using a "reduced PG" juicy vapor juice called "cool mint".
