Kanger Aerotank Dry Hits

My husband and I recently got back into vaping. We picked up some new clearos yesterday and he is having major problems that we can't seem to fix. I bought a Nautilus Mini and I love it so far. He got the Aerotank and he can get 1-2 good pulls before he gets nothing but dry hits. He's using a Vision Spinner II and we've tried different voltage and we've gone with more holes showing down to almost no holes showing. Nothing is solving the problem. The coils that came with it are the old style with the wick showing. I do have the new style, but I'm afraid those will make the problem worse.

When it comes to the juice, he is using EVO Spearmint 18mg. I can't seem to find what the PG/VG ratio is for it. Could that be the problem and he just needs to thin out his juice? He's getting super frustrated and I don't want him to go back to analogs because he thinks this is too much work. Right now he's using his Evod on the spinner with no problem at all.

Never had much luck with the aero on a spinner with the dual coils. Just my experience. Since you have an EVOD though, put an EVOD coil in the aero, I know they say it won't work but I almost never use the dual coils in mine, I use the ones from PT 1 that I have. Work great.

He's thinned out his juice and the first few hits were fine, but the dry hits came back after the 4th-5th hit. Then we did what you suggested and it's the same thing. I also have a mini pt3 and I don't have this issue at all with it. It vapes my juice like a champ and I never get dry hits and it has a dual coil as well.

I'm feeling very frustrated with this whole experience because he's one that wants convenience and not to have to mess it too much. Right now he's using the EVOD again and is happy with it. I want to get him excited about vaping like I am, but I feel like I'm just making him feel frustrated and discouraged.

If he's happy with the EVOD, no problem! It's a good tank, several people I know use them and I keep one around as a back-up. Aerotank works fine for me, but there is a reason there are so many tanks out there, we all have different likes and taste is subjective.

I get that and I'm more than happy to let him keep using the EVOD, but he's also the type that likes to have "nicer" things and he will want to keep trying other tanks. However, saying that, he decided to use my EVOD for his normal juice and told me that it tasted bad on the spinner as well. He started using it on the ego battery and it was fine there so he tried the Aerotank on it as well and it was fine. I'm guessing that juice for some reason, doesn't like the spinner. He put his blueberry in the aerotank and now all is well and there is no problem at all.
