Kanger Aerotank Mini II better than Kanger Aerotank Mega?

What's up everyone, I have a quick question regarding using Kanger tanks with my eVic. I originally started with the Aerotank Mini II and it was a perfect combination. I accidentally broke that tank so I decided to kick it up a notch and upgrade to the Aerotank Mega. The problem is that it's not an upgrade but in fact a substantial downgrade. No matter how I adjust the airflow, this thing isn't hitting well at all. I have to turn the voltage up to past 10 just to get a super weak hit. Usually on the Aerotank Mini, I set the voltage at 7.2-7.3 and it hits amazing. The problem with Aerotank Mini is that they are fragile and I've gone through two of them already. Just broke the glass on one this morning so now I'm back to vaping with this Mega tank temporarily and it's just really lackluster.

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts to why the Mega would be so underwhelming when it's one of the more expensive tanks Kanger offers? Did I possibly get a dud or am I not adjusting the airflow correctly? I also open to any other suggestions for a good tank that works well with the eVic. Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated!

Aerotank Mini II? Do you mean Protank 2 Mini?

But if we are comparing Aerotanks to Aerotanks, they all use the same standard for atomizer heads, and the heads are what produces the vapor. The tank shouldn't have much to do with it at all. Have you tried cleaning things? Double check that the head sits tight in the base. Maybe try swapping the coil heads.

Btw, I think you mean power ("wattage"), not voltage. Not many mods can provide more than 6 volts, and even that would make most Aerotank heads that I know of taste burnt.

What resistance coils are you using in the Mega? You may have received a dud coil, have you tried swapping it out to see if the hits improve?
Did your aerotank mini not come packaged with the stainless steel tube? Or do you prefer the glass? (I ask because the stainless steel tube was a selling point for me, I drop my mods all the time.)

I love the aerotank mega, it is my all day vape with 2 Ohm coils at 5.4v.

Sorry I misspoke, I meant the Mini Protank 2 and yes watts not voltage, my bad! The package for the Aerotank Mega came with an extra coil but it didn't change the performance when I installed it. I will try the 2 ohm coils and report back. Thank you for helping this rookie out lol

I had the pro tank mini 2 and enjoyed it. I bought an Aerotank (regular not mega) and love it. I run mine at 9w and it is one of the nicest hits and cloud I have personally had. I do have an issue of a weak hit/cloud but that is only when I add more liquid and I have a loose connection. Maybe make sure everything is set right? Orings/screws?
