Alright, I've, along with Ginny Tx, been posting for several days on different threads about the advantages of these valves & how I modified them. This will be the 3rd time I put pics up. It seems there has been a rush on them & the price of them is going UP !!! We don't sell them, just use & modify for our own purposes.
Our coils are lasting longer. Some are 2 months old. I'm pretty new to this, so, until I started looking on ECF I had no idea how short lived some of them are. Evidently the extra air flow cools the coils better, No research, jmo.
The only thing the pics don't show is that I bored all the way to the center of the controller. I used a 1/16" twist drill. The small pieces in the pliers are the air inlets in the coils. They pop right out with needle nose pliers. Hold them with a pair of pliers, (those are my Gerber multi function tool pliers in the pic), and run the 1/16" bit thru. Be sure to clean ALL the metal shavings out of everything before reassembling your tank.
It takes 5 or 10 minutes to make these mods & makes a HUGE difference in air flow. GOOD vaping !!!!!!! holes.jpg

How muvh more air does this flow than the old desgin it looks a heck of alot better is that adjustment ring notched or is it like the old one where it just spins and never stays in adjustment ?

A lot more airflow! I have the original and the new one. The new one is not notched either but it is VERY STIFF to turn. I have been using mine for about 2 weeks and they are not getting any looser.

Hope that helps.

Okay okay so I have been looking for a thread like this cause I just modified my mini pro tank 2 for more airflow and I want to move on to my kanger aerotank could you post the links to yiur other threads and possibly show how to disassemble that adjustable air ring off the assembly so yiu van drill out the holes :)??

If you use a 1/16" drill, you don't have to disassemble the controller. Just drill thru to center on all 3 inlets. I'll see if Ginny Tx will video me as I do another one.

Sweet so basically the same way that you modify the mini pt2 just drill 3 holes and your ready to vape again have you found that 1/16 is the max size? Cause on my mini pt2 I could go all the way to 7/64 "??

I'm sure the new base would work just fine. However I got 5 of these for $20.40 including shipping. They're on ebay for $5 including shipping. Ginny Tx has a dual coil BDC Nautilus tank & it doesn't flow near the air that our hot rodded KP2s do

Correct me if I am wrong but a kanger areotank is basically a kanger pt2 but with that adjustable air controller you selling right?

Right right ehh sorry suppliers!! Ehh so have you experimented with bigger holes?

Yeah, 1/16" is the largest I can put in there. If I removed the adjustment ring I could go bigger but the ring would just cover it up so there would be no gain in it. It's fully adjustable so I go from several times the original air flow to none. Different flow rates work better with different juices. I used the same bit to increase the flow on smaller tanks too but if they're not adjustable it doesn't work as well because I can't slow it down for lighter juices.

LOL I don't have a flow bench !!!!!!! I'm a tool nut but not quite that bad. I do have an old high school buddy who is a machinist for Shumacher Racing though. I'll have to ask. !!! LOL Sweeter juices are thicker and can use more air. The lighter ones can get way to much air with my hot rodded tanks. I grew up around Shumacher, Lingenfelter, Klotz, etc. I can't just leave air flow alone !!!!!!!

Im thinking about doing this on my adjustable airflow base. Its the old kind with 3 holes and ring that screws up and down. As I am currently on the road with only a cordless drill, how hard are these bases to drill out? Can it be done holding it by hand and carefully drilling? I like the draw much more than it was with a stock PT2, but I would still like a little more..

you know when I was drilling my mini pt2 out I was just holding it with my fingers and we honestly its not bad but it all depends on the tool you are using to drill it will but lol we all should know about shop saftey to so to each is own way of doing it........oh wait yeah I still owe the hospital 10000 for deflation of my eyeball due to a peice of wire......oh yeah forgot that lil gem ......hmmm
