I am a Protank holdout that has used version 1 of the airflow control value. I know some have reported that the V1 is prone to get getting stuck but I have had no issues with this glitch. I use the airflow set wide open and find it satisfing. So - Are the newer versions really any any better ? The only thing I don't like about V2 and V3 is that they have a higher profile.

I have the V1 and V3. The V1 is easier to work with since you can change it on the fly. The V1 is also lower profile. When I received the V3, I didn't think I would like it. You need to use a screw driver to change it, and it's taller. But, it turns out I'm kind of torn between the two (not that it is a life changing decision). The V3 is classier, and perhaps I don't need to change it all that often. So I can't decide. Right now I lean toward the V1...tomorrow, who knows?
