I have Protanks.. Which is why when I looked at the video you posted, I wondered why it was the T3

Thanks lombaowski!!!

The Protank uses T3s atomizers. The cleaning he demos will work for Protank coils as well.

Just make sure when you do the dry-burn you do it until you aren't getting any more smoke off the wick and coil. It should look very clean when you are done. Otherwise, you will get a nasty burnt taste. If you don't have a torch, a standard Bic lighter will work. Just make sure the loose flavor wicks are nice and white.

Dimitris just posted this video yesterday, I thought it was really helpful. If anyone is looking for more info on cleaning the EVOD/Protank heads this might be worth a watch: The Kanger Mini Protank, Protank II and Cleaning Replacement Heads - YouTube

Im gonna clean them all later tonight, but im still gonna order a pack of 5 2.2ohm coils. Just to be certain before I order, these are the correct coils for the pro tank right?

Thanks for your help Fizzpop!

I just bought 2 kanger mt3's with a 510 adapter for my lava tube 2. At first I experienced a burnt tast, I thought it was the adapter. here is a tip, let it set for 5 min after filling, and low and behold a clean powerful hit. Love the large plume of vapor. p.s. got my new lava tube at volcano.com

There isn't much difference in performance between any of the kanger bottom coil devices. Just basically size shape and materials used. For example the protank uses SS and glass. In my opinion they give a slightly muted flavor, however they function very well, not many issues as far as leaks our lack of vapor in comparison to other similar devices.

You may not like the EVOD for any number of reasons, some not necessarily the fault of the EVOD. If you've been using it for a few days and not taken it apart for a cleaning and perhaps a dry burn, vapor production will be weak.

Another issue with EVODs purchased more further back than the past two weeks is that they may have EVOD heads in them.
The new ones will have Protank heads, which have larger inside diameter (2.85mm) air tubes and deliver more flavor and vapor than the smaller ID (1.85mm) EVOD heads. If you can get the shaft of a real Q-Tip into the air tube you have a Protank coil head... if you can't, you have the older EVOD coil head. Take a look at yours.
You can't even buy EVOD replacement coil heads anymore... they'll all be marked Protank/EVOD and have the larger air hole and 10mm base plate. I theorize that this is why folks like Protanks so much, the coil head, which in reality is the "performance" component of any clearo or glassomizer, is genuinely optimized for superior performance.

Of all the Kangers, I prefer the T3S. Like an EVOD, but with more capacity. The EVODs are OK for an out and about, but the capacity is no good for more than a few hours. At home, I use carto tanks from Valley View Vapes and IBTanked. Carto tanks blow clearomizers out of the water for flavor and vapor production.

I just picked up a T3S the other day and I love it. It fits on my Ego C battery great.
