I accidentally ordered some 1.5 coils and they seem to be burning in a few minutes on anything I vape them at. I even put them on a EGO at lowest setting which I think is 3.2 and in a few minutes....yuk, burnt taste again. Have been using the EVOD
Have tried 80/20 as well as 50/50 ratio juice.....no change.
What's up with this....???

Cute doggie. :)

What exactly is "burning". Is something actually burning, or is it something else, for example... gunking up from insufficient power to completely vaporize the juice? The amount of power (potentially) being delivered at 3.2v to a 1.5Ω coil... ain't much. 7 watts, 2 amps.

Perhaps you are having wicking issues (genuine coils, or mystery brand forgeries?)... insufficient juice to keep the coil wet and cool. Silica can tolerate a substantial amount of heat before it burns... perhaps what is burning is the small amount of juice that makes it to the overheated coil.

Maybe your juices are on the thick side so it takes more time for the wicks to get saturated, I don't use kangers much lately but when I had that problem I gave it a couple "unpowered" hits before actually vaping it, to make sure that the wicks got enough juice. Then I'd do short hits rather than long or lung hits to again give the wick time to get wet again. or you may have just gotten a bad batch of coils...

thanks for the replies.....I have not pulled the ( genuine Kanger ) coil apart yet to see if the silica is actually burnt.....just getting a burnt smell and taste. Could be not enough power I suppose.....and could be a bad batch of coils ( 2 so far ) will keep experimenting.
Will pull some of the flavor wick to see if it is feeding enough juice.
Never had this happen before, but then again I always have 2.1 - 2.5 coils also.

There ya' go... a bit of experimentation. 1.5Ω is a good, not too high or low, resistance... so it's really more a matter of sorting out the variables that juice, power potential and OE wick fine tuning create.

Have fun! :)
