Kanger dual coil wicks coming out?

So i noticed this was happening. Not sure why has anyone ever had this happen? There 1.8 ohm coils in the aerotank v2. There obviously not like this new out of the the package but after i refill it after the first tank this is how it comes out. Could this cause dry burns? I notice they do not last very long at all. Thoughts?

It happens. No big deal. How long they last depends on what juice you vape. Higher, or max VG will gunk up the coils faster.

Same thing happens with the coils on my Aerotank mega, which uses the same coils as your V2. It doesn't happen with every coil, but it happens a lot. And with every fill it gets worse. I love my Mega, but I'm not a huge fan of the coils. I wish they preformed as well as the coils on my Nautilus mini.

You know what i was seriously thinking about picking up th nautilus mini tomorrow. How do you like it compared to the kanger tanks? What battery are you using it with? Could you upload any pics of your setup? My v2 is great when it works but thats only 50% of the time. Ive heard great things about nautilus and the mini so im thinking of trying it out.

I love my kanger emow mega tanks but not a big fan of silica in the coils. I rebuild the coils to a vertical build livk the aspire BVC coils and wick with japanese cotton. It is very easy and straight forward to do and the vape is amazing and the added bonus of not having to buy more coils.

Yep I get this problem as well, sometime have wick floating around in the tank.

Not a fan of kanger coils at the moment, got some nature vape coils order, see how those go.

When I get a chance I'll upload my setup. I'm personally not overly concerned with the chrome plated brass chimney. It's not chipping or wearing and I doubt the temp gets hot enough to do any damage to the plating. And my cleaning doesn't seem to damage it either. And I don't know what inhaling VG or PG and some of the other additives is actually doing to me, so until there is some hard facts and research I'm not going to worry to much about it. Heck, I sucked on cigs for 30 years knowing how bad they were for me. I can tell you since I quit several months ago, I feel much better. I'm using all Aspire products right now too, and prefer them over my Kanger products. Maybe I should be concerned that these little pieces of filament that are coming out of the coil are going to find there way into my lungs.

I've read and heard that Aspire is planning on changing up there chimney design and I hope they do, but until there's something hard proof, I'm not going to stress. But I'm glad there talking about it.

I use the old single coils, just put two of the silicone grommets both with cup facing down, no leaks, works great.

all of my 1.8ohm coils have done this, and some of my 1.5ohms. I actually think it starts wicking a little better once there is some wick sticking out. Not sure what it means for the overall performance.

Please start a thread with your thoughts. I'm interested in the NatureVape coils too, but would have to spend some coin to just have a few coils shipped to the US, so I'd like to here they're really worth it first.

I switched to a kayfun because of those damn 1.8 ohm coils. I hate them. The kayfun is so much more consistent once you get wicking down

So funny story. I whent to my local b&m this morning to pick up the nautilus mini and ended up walking out with a Sigelei Legend and no nautilus. I know i know impulse buyer. Put my aerotankv2 on top been using it all day no more dry burns problem solved. I even got a new job today.

And i didn't even have to use my AK, i gota say it was a good day.

Hey pj, noticed you've been MIA for a few weeks. Hope all's ok bro.

For the crew reading here, yep the d/c standard Kanger heads are ok. Typical performance for eccentric silica winds. But you can up the flav vapor volume with a proper electrical coil and either KGD/Nextel. In fact the latter with a tensioned micro runs quite well upwards of 17.5W.
