just got my new esmart kit in the mail today. so far its working great. 320 battery so a little larger/stronger than the standard 808d battery. uses 808d threading so the esmart clears (which are threaded and have long wicks) are interchangeable with the 808d. i used the esmart clears on my 808d battery for about 2 wks before i ordered the esmart battery kit.

ive only seen the esmart on kangers website and 2 others - vaporkings and litecigusa. litecigusa has the kit for the best price (2 batts/2 clears/usb adapter/usb wall charger $45) but they only sell additional clears individually at $4 ea. vaporkings also sells the kit but they have a 5pk of the clears for $13 (best price). you can choose from 3 colors.

eventhough the clears are interchangeable (as per the manufacturer suggestion), the batteries definitely are not. so dont just order the batts and clears thinking you will use your 808d charging equipment because you will short out your battery and waste your money.

if u like the penstyle ecig, i would recommend the esmart
almost constant vaping, battery lasts about 4 hrs. takes 2 hrs to charge (user man says 4hrs to charge but mine took 2 hrs after i drained it the 1st time). eventhough its the same size as the XL-808D, the battery seems to last about an hour longer. imo, the battery is giving a better hit than the 808d. its also lighter weight eventhough its the same length but a little larger in diameter.

because the clearomizers are threaded, it is virtually leak-free. i say virtually because once the clear is used a few times , the silicone gasket that sits between the tip and the atomizer, has been sticking to the bottom of the tip when removed to refill the clear. the gasket is very tiny and almost invisible. if lost, the juice will get into the breathing chamber rendering the clear unusable within a few days. also, as with most clears, thicker juices will gum it up in about a week causing it to need replacement. because the wicks are long, theres no need for tilting to keep them soaked in juice.

even if you arent ready to buy a new battery kit, get the esmart clears for you 808d. they are a huge improvement. keep in mind, the esmart is slightly larger in diameter than the 808d so the clearomizer will stick out a tiny bit.

i dont know what an M1/M3 is so i cant speak to that. it has a 5-click lock and the button is flush (which is a pain while im driving since it makes it difficult to feel for the button). after using it for a day, i like it better than the 808d. design wise, there really doesn't seem to be a big difference except the larger battery size. i dont know if they dont make it in an automatic style or if the 2 retailers dont sell them (i dont remember seeing an auto on kangers site either) but the manual button is all that is available for now.
even though the clearomizers are compatible with both styles, they seem to work better on the esmart. i cant put my finger on what is different but they hit cleaner on the esmart battery (juice doesnt crackle and pop like it did on the 808d). i had a prob with juice getting in the breathing chamber but only because the juice bubbled up during filling. with 80/20 juice they last a couple weeks. the 808d clearomizers were only lasting me about a week with regular usage.

Caligirlinky, can I use my old cig20 or vapage 808 batts with the e smart clearomizers, or do I have to buy the actual e smart starter kit? Or at least e smart batt?? I didn't understand wha t u meant when you wrote that the batts would die??? Please explain? Thanks soooo much!

sorry i didnt see your post until tonight... ive had a very busy couple of weeks and havent been on here much.

as for the batteries used with the esmart clearomizers... i would assume they could be used on any 808d threaded battery (that was the impression i got from all the info i read about them) but ive only used them on the kanger 808d. the clearomizers are cheap enough that you could fet one and try it on the 808 battey that you have. just read the specs for your battery and the clearomizer to make sure they match up and you wont short out your battery.

as far as the battery dying... im not sure where u see that. ive read through the posts on this thread and dont see anything about that. could you quote the sentence for me so i can tell you what i meant?

I agree with everything that callgirlINKY says about these new Kanger clearos. I got the kit from VK because I like them, and that way I get (2) batts, charger and (5) clearos.
The clearos will work on 808 batteries, but don't charge the 808's on the e-smart charger or any other charger not designed for the 808. The same goes for any batteries. Using a charger that is not made for that particular battery you are using, can result in fire and explosion.
