just got my new esmart kit in the mail today. so far its working great. 320 battery so a little larger/stronger than the standard 808d battery. uses 808d threading so the esmart clears (which are threaded and have long wicks) are interchangeable with the 808d. i used the esmart clears on my 808d battery for about 2 wks before i ordered the esmart battery kit.
ive only seen the esmart on kangers website and 2 others - vaporkings and litecigusa. litecigusa has the kit for the best price (2 batts/2 clears/usb adapter/usb wall charger $45) but they only sell additional clears individually at $4 ea. vaporkings also sells the kit but they have a 5pk of the clears for $13 (best price). you can choose from 3 colors.
eventhough the clears are interchangeable (as per the manufacturer suggestion), the batteries definitely are not. so dont just order the batts and clears thinking you will use your 808d charging equipment because you will short out your battery and waste your money.
if u like the penstyle ecig, i would recommend the esmart
almost constant vaping, battery lasts about 4 hrs. takes 2 hrs to charge (user man says 4hrs to charge but mine took 2 hrs after i drained it the 1st time). eventhough its the same size as the XL-808D, the battery seems to last about an hour longer. imo, the battery is giving a better hit than the 808d. its also lighter weight eventhough its the same length but a little larger in diameter.
because the clearomizers are threaded, it is virtually leak-free. i say virtually because once the clear is used a few times , the silicone gasket that sits between the tip and the atomizer, has been sticking to the bottom of the tip when removed to refill the clear. the gasket is very tiny and almost invisible. if lost, the juice will get into the breathing chamber rendering the clear unusable within a few days. also, as with most clears, thicker juices will gum it up in about a week causing it to need replacement. because the wicks are long, theres no need for tilting to keep them soaked in juice.
even if you arent ready to buy a new battery kit, get the esmart clears for you 808d. they are a huge improvement. keep in mind, the esmart is slightly larger in diameter than the 808d so the clearomizer will stick out a tiny bit.
