I’m definitely having a love/hate relationship with the Kanger Juppi. There are a lot of pluses:

  • Best build quality to date on a Kanger mod. I have several other Kanger boxes and they stepped up their game on this. Feels very solid, nice heft without being too heavy, absolutely zero rattle anywhere.
  • Screen is small but clear. Same easy to use menu system as other Kanger boxes.
  • TC has been tweaked for the better. It’s the smoothest TC performance I’ve ever gotten from a Kanger.
  • Really like the side-by-side format. It looks good with a standard size tank (pic below with a standard Bachelor tank) but looks fantastic with a nano-style tank (pic below with a Bachelor mini).
But the bad news really overshadows everything else – the fire button position. No matter how I position my hand it feels awkward at best. It’s not one of those ‘grab it and fire without looking’ mods. I have to pick it up, look/feel for the button, and then make sure my hand is not blocking the air slot of whatever tank I’m using.

This would have been SO much better if the fire button was at the top of the battery case. They should have made it just a few mm taller and made the entire top “shelf” the fire button. Thumb-firing it in that manner would make it easy to grip and easy to keep your hand out of the way of the tank airflow.
