regulated devices are much different then Mec's, regulated devices have built-in protection (but why push it) and Mec's do not.

recommended batts are Sony, Samsung, LGHE2, imo for subbing you want at least 20/30amp continuous and be cautious how low ya go, most high drain regulated devices only require 10 to 12amps but adding extra head-room is always a good thing for added safety and the prices on the batteries are not much if any different; so why not get the best bang for your buck sort-speak.

be smart and enjoy the Vapor, enjoy your day!

forgot to mention: some of these sellers such as e-fest and others list the pulse rating (35amp) and not the continuous, the latter is what you want to go by.

if and when i buy the K-Box i will use Sony VTC4's in mine, that's just my personal preference for dripping.

Thanks Sando7

Sorry to be a total noob. I have a slight fear of batteries, and have been really surprised how much I like dripping…but liking dripping means that I need to be conscious of things that I wasn't having to worry about using smaller wattage regulated devices. So, now I get to learn all about stuff I said I wasn't ever going to even do. ;)

I think you will like the Kbox for dripping…I've been using mine all morning and it really is a nice little device.

ETA: Those Sony batteries seem pretty hard to find, but I'm going to try to track some down anyway.

how ya gonna know unless you ask, i think you will enjoy the education.....and your very welcome.

when buying batteries go to reputable and known Vendors, stay away from fle-bay

here are some true VTC4's at the present moment
Sony 18650 VTC4 3.7V 30A 2100mAh Battery FLAT OR BUTTON | Lightning Vapes, get the flat-tops, most of the time he has deals on 2 packs. (use the coupon code LV15 to get 15% off) if the 15 does not work use LV10 for 10% off.

most of the time i get my batteries from RTD
Batteries and Chargers

the X-Tar brand VTC4's are to long for most devices so be aware....also in Bad's Blog's he lists places to buy from.

yep i do think i will enjoy the K-Box, i can take it out & beat it up without worry, for the price ya can't beat-it :vapor:

Been using one since I got home from work. Vape mail yay.

So far so good.

The button feels spot on so far, one of the things my previous APV's have mostly let me down. This feels solid and clicky. The device itself appears solid enough, quite like the finish and is not a finger print magnet.

The battery compartment threads are a little crunchy, nothing some WD40 wont sort I'm guessing.

I'm used to mechs, and more recently picked up a eLeaf 50watt box (also loving this device). This one was picked up for nights out, and work generally. It's light and feels solid. my subtank mini looks pretty good on it and I'm not too concerned about the lack of tweaking ability on the wattage settings (un-kicked mechs and my istick is pretty much either 8watt or 13watt anyway, depending on the juice)

I can't fault it so far for the money. I kinda like the Kangertech cut out and venting option, it's a quirky addition.

Centre pin seems solid enough and takes my subtank and various other tanks from RDA's to the usual line of Kayfuns no issues.

Time will tell if it's a winner in terms of reliability. but for the money I'd be happy if it lasted six months, I'd just order another.

All in, thumbs up from me (so far)

:)

Yup! No glowing reports, good or bad? I sold my first one to a friend, and he really likes it. I just receive my second one,and so far it works as well as the first one.:) If you already have a charger, and batterys,it's a "no brainer" and for the money it will be pretty hard to beat. Sometimes simple is better!:vapor:

Been using for more than a week. Works very damn well near perfect for me for the time being.

Extremely sturdy mod, gives true reliable power (measured) and reads til 0.4 ohms coil (tested). Coarse threading seems to be due to anodized aluminium alloy threads not being smoothed out. After a few battery changes, works fine. I've been screwing in & out my Evic battery cap every few days (never used the USB port) for nearly years and yet still working like new. It shows that Aluminium alloy is an extremely durable material with great conductivity too. So I expect this to last for years to come.

Unlike the more advanced sub-ohm APVs with screens, complex function settings which acts more like a distraction and comes with heftier price tag.
For this, you just pop in battery and fires straight away as it remembers your last wattage setting.

It feels like using a turbo kick on a mech mod with the press of a button. Except some users which might not like its wattage jump from 8,13 to 20,25,30,35,40W it doesn't bother me as it is usually where I use for my vape. Infact, the jump from 13 to 20W & 25W is rather fun as you can feel a more obvious surge of vapour, rather than than fine increments.

Fittings wise, it has everything I'm looking for, replaceable battery, sturdy spring-loaded 510 and can fit atomizers up til 25mm. Firing and wattage setting button works great too with nice clicky feel with zero rattling.

Love its therapeutic effect due to its nice feel, ease of use and yet with full safety features of APVs.

'Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication' and Kangertech seems to have achieve it with this mod.

Yep still use mine every day with a full-sized Subtank running a 1.2-ohm OCC at 20 watts and it's perfect for me. Like some others have said - it's sturdy, looks pretty good (really like how it matches the large subtank) and simple. And at 27 bucks if it dies I won't care, though it's going strong for over a month now. The Kbox is just flat out a great value mod from a trusted brand. I love it and would not hesitate for second in recommending it, especially to someone new to regulated boxes.

I bought one, my first mod...using my Nautilus mini on it. Tho I wish there were variable wattage points between 8-13 watts...I vape at 13 watts since 8 watts seems to low for me, and it seems to be running a good vape for me at that wattage. But then being new to vaping and box mods, I have nothing to compare it with. Not sure where the ideal wattage setting on a Nautilus Mini would be. I was using the vision spinner before I bought this. It does seem to be pretty sturdy and fits in my hand perfectly.
